Atta Kofri
ATTA KOFI MENSAH was born and raised in the beautiful city of Accra, Ghana on 4th February 1963. His father, Nana ATTA MENSAH was a pioneer in the struggle for independence of Ghana and his mother a housewife. He is the last of five siblings.
ATTA KOFI was educated at one of the finest schools in Ghana – Achimota Primary and Secondary Schools. Influenced by his brief stay in the U.K. where he worked for a fashion designer, ATTA KOFI chose to enter the fashion industry.
From this moment on he enjoyed a successful career in fashion designing. He has represented Ghana at international clothes events in Dubai. In 1990, he left Ghana and settled in Brescia, Italy, where he entered a fashion school. At this school, he completed a two-year diploma course in six months.
ATTA KOFI has exhibited his clothing lines at international fashion shows and exhibitions like CPD in Germany, MODAPRIMA in Milan, MAGIC SHOW in Las Vegas (U.S.A). ATTA KOFI is one of the few acclaimed and compelled foreign fashion designers running their private labels in Italy. He is currently residing in Brescia, Italy where he has his fashion studio – ATTA KOFI MODA.
He is the first African designer to have a top flight exclusive designer shop (for his collections) in the ‘centro storico’ of the city of Brescia. TTA KOFI designs a top Jeanswear Label in Europe – A.K.J.C (ATTA KOFI JEANS CULTURE). A tasty collection for the young and old alike and also for ladies and gents, in shapes and shades that gives a vibrant appearance to every personality. It is a collection dedicated to global peace.
THE COMPANY-ATTA KOFI MODA
Following the success of hitting the international market, ATTA KOFI MENSAH has recently a established a fashion designing and clothes manufacturing company based in Brescia, Italy. The name of the company is called ATTA KOFI MODA, and currently operates branch offices in Accra, Ghana. The manufacturing company works in partnership with third party clothes production companies in Bangladesh, India, South Korea, China and Taiwan.
ATTA KOFI MODA is also represented in the U.S.A by Apparel Marketing Group of New York. ATTA KOFI MODA is a current member of the Association of Ghanaian Industries and C.C.I.A, Brescia, Italy.
