Nana Kwaku Duah also known as TIC TAC is an extraordinary musician, born in one of the most powerful and ancient empires of the World -Ashanti, which is incumbently headed by one of the greatest kings, the world has ever known Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

He started his career as a songwriter, composer and singer in his teens, and developed his talent when he was at Datus Complex School, and later at Labone Secondary School, all in Accra.Tic Tac subsequently formed a group of three known as the NUTTY STRANGERS of which he was the leader at youthful age of sixteen. He and his friends performed at “Fun World”, “KIDDAFEST” etc. to gain recognition. Their song “AFRICA MAMA” became a sing-along tune among many students. As adventurous as he is, he went ahead to rehearse and play copyright with the FISH BAND.

He shot to limelight sooner than later when he featured on the one time Africa’s No.1 DJ AZIGIZA’s “WOYEBIA” which became an instant hit. Then came SLIM BUSTER’S “MASAN ABA.”

Tic Tac realized that he was now ready to stand on his feet and performed in live concerts as well as international tours to the UK, Germany, Holland, Belgium, he then came out with “PHILOMINA” in 2001 with hits like “YE ME BREBRE”, “BRONZE”, etc. an album, released by Noise Management (Ghana) drastically changed the face of the Ghanaian music scene.

In Europe he performed with great artistes like Kanda Bongo Man, Judy Boucher and Arrow in the tropical showcase in London. He was at this time interviewed at the Bush House (BBC) UK in the program called “African Safari” in connection with the “Pan African Re-Union” where he shared stage with Alpha Blondy and the Solar System. “Philomena” topped the Ghanaian chart with two songs- “Philomena” and Emma Formula (ie; Women”s Formula).Tic Tac was nominated for four categories (Hip life Song of the Year, New Artiste of the Year, Rap Song of the Year, Hiplife Album of the Year; PHILOMENA) during the Ghana Music Awards.

In 2002 whilst he continued to win the admiration home and abroad, a UK based Ghanaian Magazine-Ghana Review International billed him on an Europe Tour to Belgium, Germany, Holland and UK. His second album “MASOM” was released by his own record label :T-N Records. The song MASOM placed fourth on the Ghanaian chart and was nominated “Hip life Song of the Year”. Tic Tac was signed on by Base Management (UK), the previous organizers of “Black Mobo Awards (UK)”. He was invited many times to perform in the UK by the Ghana High Commission and has performed in the last four Miss Ghana UK pageants.

His third album, “MASEM”: This came out in 2002, was released worldwide by GOODIES MUSIC PRODUCTION and WAYOOSI PRODUCTION, UK and managed by T.N. Records. It became the biggest hip life hit in Ghana topping the Chart for 22 consecutive weeks. It was nominated at the Ghana Music Awards in two categories (Hip life Artiste of the Year and the best collaborative album of the year). He won the best collaborative album of the year. Tic Tac not long ago shared stage with the popular UK R&B star Joe Thomas when he played in Ghana. He also played with Tony Tetuila, a Nigerian super star on Christmas 2002 at the biggest night club in Africa Coliseum in Ikeja-Lagos, Nigeria.

Tic Tac has worked with top Ghanaians artistes such as Daasebre, Obour, Frank Mensah Pozo, Afro Moses etc. Following the year 2002 with MASEM at age 22, he has carved a niche for himself in the music industry in Ghana, particularly the hip-life scene. He had an unprecedented launch on two Radio Stations in Accra: Top Radio and Adom FM. Tic Tac is ready to deliver. He came, he saw and he conquered, and with God all things are possible.

On the recent Musical Gala Tour of Freddy Meiway of Cote D’ Ivoire in Ghana, Tic Tac stole a chance to record a song with the super star. Tic TAC, being the most highly rated hip-life artiste, was invited to perform at the opening concert of the 2003 All African Games in Abuja, Nigeria. Together with all the artistes under the Goodies Music Production Label, Tic Tac is at the forefront in “FIGHTING HIV /AIDS THROUGH MUSIC”. He actively participates in the numerous seminars, rallies, concerts and charitable initiatives organized by Goodies Music Production and Goodies Foundation as well as those organized by many other organizations. In 2004, Tic-Tac was nominated in two categories (”Musician of the Year”, “Music Video of the Year”) at the Ghana Music Awards, UK in London.
