Genevieve has been in the film industry for a very long time and she is good at what she does. Guess experience has even made her better. She is one of my favorites African actresses. But lately I think there is something about her that is missing.  She used to shine in very movie she featured.

However, the spark we used to see to me is disappearing slowly. Nevertheless she is still good.

‘The Terrible Warrior’ A Documentary On Azumah Nelson Out Soon!

From the slums of Bukom comes the inspirational story of a young man who believed his destiny was to become a King amongst Kings. Azumah Nelson was the WBC World Champion for over a decade, putting Ghana on the map. The Silverbird cinema in Accra will screen a documentary film about the legendary boxer, ‘The Terrible Warrior’, on April 17.

Written and produced by Atlanta-based Ghanaian filmmaker Sam A Kessie, the film journeys through the career of the man known in boxing circles as the Professor or as other choose to call him, The Terrible Warrior. Ghanaians have for decades cherished the exploit of its heroes and Azumah Nelson fits appropriately into such a category. He fought through several obstacles, including the death of loved ones to emerge as one of the world’s greatest boxers.

Can Ghana Music Award Be Bought? Part 1

As the Ghana Music Awards 2010 draws closer, the nation’s anticipation has increased with regards to the artists who are going to be the night’s big winners.

Although the awards are meant to celebrate excellence within the Ghanaian music industry, some things just don’t seem as accurate as they ought to be. Case in point- how can artist win ‘Most Popular Song of the Year,’ but yet fail to win for ‘Hiplife Song of the Year’? Perhaps there are two separate groups that select the nominees for these two categories.

With inaccuracies such as these surrounding the awards, now is the time for the GMAs committee to reconsider the continue usage of Charter House as the organisers of the event. Following ten years of organisation, surely each year should bring an addition of progress. However, these inaccuracies threaten to overshadow the true purpose of the GMAs- celebrating the success of Ghanaian musicians.
