Coz Ov Moni,Mensa & Kubolor

Wanlov Da Kubolor and Mensa Ansah will be hitting the National Theatre on Saturday, May 15th with the first ever pidgin musical film in the world called “Coz Ov Moni”.  The movie has Mensah Ansah, the acclaimed composer/rapper/producer and the “skirt wearing dreaded musician” Wanlov Da Kubolor as the main characters. These guys prefer to be called FOKN BOIS (Dont ask me why because I don’t know) and have promised to  do “FOKN” things at the national theatre with this amazing movie.

“’Cos Ov Moni’ is an amazing pidgin musical trailing the ‘hustle’ of two friends within a day. The story unfolds as they wake up in themorning with one thing on their mind, to collect a debt owed them by a wily friend. After getting the money, they set off to blow it off on food, partying and women with hilarious and dramatic consequences. While going through the day, the story highlights real struggles of ordinary young Ghanaians in modern Ghana in spite of the strong elements of humour.
The 45-minute or so musical is a pulsating hip hop dialogue with each second of film laced with throbbing beats and rhythms that would have viewers bumping their heads as the story unfolds. There are also elements of black emancipation and the celebration of blackness, as the two lead actors struggle to separate reality from dreams. ‘Coz Ov Moni’ has cameo appearances from other stars such as Samini, Reggie Rockstone, Mokin, Panji Anoff and several others.”

‘Coz Ov Moni’ is certainly a must-see movie so catch up the FOKN BOIS at the National Theatre on:

I bet Vista is a weave wearing skin bleaching girl who would rather watch a ghanaian film with fake american accents and like to think that is what the world wants to see… I personally love the FOKN BOIS and what they stand for… freedom of expression, proud to be local, proud to be black and free, as for Kubolor, he can wear what he wants… check his bank account and accolades… I think the joke is on you Agatha… and the likes of you… FOKN all day!! and Ghanaians can do with more Mensas in the music scene!

  • Ya. Vista is ignorant

Wanlov and mensa have made some of the best music in the industry. The kind of music that makes me want to live in Ghana forever. The kind of Music that I can be proud of. The movie and music industry has been taken over by uneducated charlatans with nothing else to do. I feel like these guys are bringing it back. I cant wait to see it.
