Sulley Muntari Again?. Muntari In Another Brawl With Ghana’s Coach In South Africa

blank

As most Ghanaians and well wishers of Ghana are holding fingers cross and praying to win the next match, Muntari is reported to have done it again. Sometimes I do not understand Sulley Muntari at all, he is a good player with a lot of  potentials but his temper and attitude curtails his progress as a footballer.  Please Muntari, we do not need any of your “things” at this crucial time. Just calm down, team up with the other guys, concentrate and take us through to the next stage of the world cup.. Read More Below..

Tension between coach Milovan Rajevac and midfielder Sulley Muntari is said to have dissipated after earlier rumpus which threatened the latter’s continued stay in South Africa.Sulley was alleged to have burst out, throwing tantrums following the disappointing 1-1 drawn game against Australia on Saturday.
Joy FM’s Sports Editor and Correspondent in South Africa Ernest Koranteng confirmed the incident in an interview with Joy FM’s Super Morning Show host Kojo Oppong Nkrumah on Monday.According to him, Muntari was unimpressed with the coach’s decision to keep him on the bench in the match against Australia which ended 1-1 on Saturday.

Coach Milovan Rajevac is said to have threatened to axe Sulley Muntari from the team but an apology from the player and subsequent intervention from some players and officials made the Serbian to rescind his decision, Koranteng confirmed. FA officials have however been tight-lipped on the matter, and the spokesperson, Randy Abbey says he is not aware of any such development.

This is the second report of indiscipline on the part of the Inter Milan midfielder in the less-than-two-weeks-old World Cup campaign in South Africa.Sulley Muntari is part of a 21 man squad training Monday morning ahead of the crucial Group D decider against Germany.

It is however not certain if he will get a starting role in the match against Germany on Wednesday. Source: MyJoyOnline

  3. wht the fuck is wrong wif this guy.does he think the team is his bonafide property? can he put up such nonsense wif  jose mourinho? hell no. how many games did he play for Inter last season.he was a bench warmer almost all the time, coming in to play 10 to 15 mins, yet he has the guts to question someones technical ability.he should be sacked and sent home. afterall, is the job not being done?

  4. Muntari is equally good no doubt about that, it actually hurts sometimes when u know u are a little experienced than some of ur colleages but ur effort is under estimated in other for the inexperienced one’s to out shine u. The COACH must also check himself and correct some tiny mistakes he is making. GOOD LUCK TO THE BLACK STARS COME WEDNESDAY

  5. I actually agree with Muntari. this is the worst coach we’ve ever had. Muntari is taking action because before the blackstars hit theire downfall because this coach. this year am kinda disappointed in the Blacks stars. Our players are good but they lack communication on the football field. and this coach can’t speak english for christ sake. we just got lucky because of penalties. Football federation of Ghana please take a Ghanaian coach and not these foreign coaches.

    • @SARAH, I am getting suspicious of the coach, I think he just wants to see his native Serbia advance to the next round (even at Ghana’s expense). I did not like his reaction when Gyan scored in the first match against Serbia, yes we understand Serbia is your country and you do not want to be seen celebrating their loss, but he did not have to push away his assistant coach like that … and then he carried on making comments about “Ghana got lucky”. If Ghana does not perform well, that just increases Serbia’s chances of making it to the next round, which I am sure will please him … conflict of interest …. that’s all I’m saying.

      • @Truth,did he play for Serbia, or he got the win for them against Germany? did he squander all our chance on the field or he told Gyan to blast the balls over the bar? we played well, our playaz decided they wont put the ball in the net n u blame the coach, are u kidding me.

        • @Opanin, Hmmm u r ryt, those players r professionals, they create chances and cant jx net da damn ball. Germany is no small side. They shud go n spoil chances again, thinkn sumbdy’s hand wil gv dem a goal. Mtseew

      • @Truth, u just read my mind boo…I agree wiv u 1000%…I’ve sed it once n I’ll say it again…I seriously think se coach no odi yen abro)…we can’t trust him…he wud rather see his home country progress than our boys

    • @SARAH,if they lack communication is it the fault of the coach? pls don’t make me laf. these guys are all professionals, they don’t need the coach to tell dem that when u’re on the field u need to communicate wif each other.is this not the same coach who qualified us to the world cup without losing a game? was Muntari ok wif him den? Muntari should stick to playing n leave the technical stuff to those who know. can he say such nonsence to Jose Mourhino? is he better than Appiah,John Mensah, Olele n other more senior players in the team?

      • @Opanin, Opanin oh my Opanin…yeah da players kinda get greedy wiv da ball on da field n stuff…its like dey cnt be asked 2 pass 2 each otha…evry1 wants 2 be da goal hero BUT…hmmm dat coach die3…ders sumfin 2 fishy about him…i mean eva since his reaction after GH beat Serbia…i dun really like or trust him wiv da Black Stars no more

  6. If he wants to be listened to then he shud obey b4 complain. Insultn da coach will only make matters worse. Does he tink shoutn at da coach wil make him play? he 4gets dat Gh can produce a lot of ‘him’. He better gets his acts together n behave lyk a mature person.

    • @cutie, co-sign baby gal…I fink if he wants da coach 2 listen 2 him den regardless of his dislike of da coach…he needs 2 tolerate him and give him a bit of respect n den maybe da coach mite be willin 2 hear him out…da coach sucks true say but Sulley’s attitude 8nt helpin nobody…let alone himself

      Reply
    • @cutie,rite on point Cutie, this is the same player who was warming the Inter bench last season, he comes to GH and he wants to be treated differently cos he feels the team belongs to him, nonsense. Laryea did this same thing wif Hearts of Scotland by challenging the technical competence of his coach.wht happened, the coach decide to put him on the reserve side for almost the whole season. our playaz should learn to behave n respect their handlers.

  7. what are saying. The game was supposing to be a win for Ghana. He should have gone all out with an attacking line up the moment they returned for the second half.why won’t any player be frustrated.Best of luck Black stars.next world cup we need a Ghanaian coach and that is for real

  8. i personally think muntari was right, the coach is a mute, he doesn’t do anything, not even communicate wiv the players and keeping all the good players on the bench, all he does is stick by the pole during the whole time of the game and it’s very upseting, THE COACH SIMPLY SUCK, AND HE SHOULD BE SACKED PERIOD!

    Reply
    • @mary j, lmao…yea u right…i thought i was da only one dat noticed him sticking to the pole all the tyme…but i think he’s still a good coach though…he got the STARS to the finals of cup of nations…something LEROY couldn’t do…for some reasons, it is these foreign coaches that gets the senior team to the world and not da local coaches…these local coaches are selfish and sometimes greedy tooo…

    • @mary j,lets clarify something here, soccer language is diff. frm the language we speak in our day to day activities. Carlos Tevez doesn’t speak english, he plays in the English premiership, he has an Italian coach, yet he plays fantastic football. how does he communicate wit his coach n his team mates?

  9. @Soul Sista, dat non English speakn coach is also contributn to muntari’s acts. Why cant he jx do da ryt tin. We seriously need our own African coaches, Egypt’s shehata is doing well n our silas tetteh n Co av also done it. Milo has neva won any cup in his damn serbian lyf! da man is earning big money, whiles da Gh assistants r earning peanunts. Dat man can sabotage us, if we dont take care. Na nim ti se aboabi enim.

  10. Yes @ cutie, africans feel white coaches are superior to our own professionals local players. The foreigners come to our country, chop our money and leave. Hence, featuring young players, so they can make money (10,000 per player)of them. Suley is not afraid to speak the truth to a white man a coach who only coaches a youth team in his country. WTF were the players doing in the last game? Tooo much politics happening in the team. If u ppl are smart, you can compare this to the old black star team. How the hell are we going to win with penalties. The captain needs to stop being a pussssy and speak and stop being a ass licker contributing to downfall of our country. Muntari, we support you!!!

    • lets be real peeps, which other players should have been in the team? michael essien? ikno but he is injured oooo tom aba. leave the coach alone.

  11. Sulley shd jst giv us a break. If he’s dat gud why couldn’t he score a goal in the match against Australia when he came on. I wish he never plays again 4 the black stars.

  12. I agree with anyone who suspect the coach, I was discussing this with my dad over the wkend, I didnt like his face after the serbia match, as for Muntari hes fucking asshole, this fugly dude thinks the team revolves around him, they have been pretty doing well without him its a shame Essein didnt play .

    • @miss dior, To be frank, Ghanaian (Serbian) coach did not show any emotions at all after the game. I remember one of the members of the coaching staff gave him a hug from behind after the game with Serbia and he brushed the person off….that was looowwwwwww!!! I don’t know why he did dat but i think he has some wired personality. Anyways!!! let’s all pray 4 Ghana as our boyz face the Jamanies on wednesday. Go Ghana Go Ghanaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  13. sulley is a knobhead simple. guy cant control his temperament and wants to play 70mins. his cv proves it all at pompey, inter milan and before. he just racks up cards for fun. and the muppets dont understand why he’s only getting 15 mins. the coach may not have looked happy after the serbia game. coaches are hired to be fired, milo knows doors are going to open to him if he does well. if he wants to coach serbia, or england as ive heard round tottenham of late, he has to prove his worth. but sulley gyae jimiiiiii no and you gonna get some game time!
