The cause of death for the model in Obrafour’s ‘Pimpinaa’ video, Belinda Asiamah, who tragically passed away a fortnight ago, has been revealed.
A doctor at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, where she passed, has revealed to Hitz Fm that Asiamah died due to falling victim to an ectopic pregnancy.
The rumour mill had been filled with whispering that Asiamah, who was reported to have complained of stomach aches before she died, had undergone an abortion. But according to the doctor, she died due to complications from her condition.
“She was on admission at the Legon Hospital, what happened was she had an ectopic pregnancy; basically ectopic pregnancy is where the fetus develops outside the womb, typically in the Fallopian tube so it called for surgery.” he said.
“After the surgery, she had a cardiac seizure where the doctors at the Legon Hospital successfully dealt with. She was transferred here to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on the 11th of August because at the Legon Hospital, there was no support unit.
“Immediately she was transferred here, she had another seizure which was successfully dealt with but died the following day, that was on the 12th of August 2016.”
Asiamah was most known for starring alongside Obrafour in the music video for ‘Pimpinaa’, as well as Guru’s ‘Akayida’ (Boys Abr3)

A sad commentary on the state of affairs in Ghana. Lack of qualified personnel and adequate facilities. Corrupt and broken society where a citizen life is worthless. SUV and monkey suits have more value. Where spending money on 4 x 4, fufu and goat meat is more important than equipping the hospitals with what is needed to save lives. Ghanaian lives don’t matter. Their lives are no better than that of the goat they slaughter in abundance for the soup. In 2016, a 24 year old dies after simple ectopic “surgery”? What sort of mickey mouse doctors and health facilities are in Ghana? Ignorant doctors and medical personnel condemning people to death due to lack of knowledge. REST IN PEACE lady. Yours was like a candle in wind. But a wind not of your making. A wind made of iniquity, hubris, ignorance and stupidity.

is apt. No one is doing more to kill Ghanaians than the Ghanaians themselves.
Ghanaian mind is oppressed by corruption, ignorance and hubris.
The Ghanaian “has become a shell, a shadow of man, completely defeated, drowning in his own misery, a slave, an ox bearing the yoke of oppression with sheepish timidity”.
Until that mental state is voided, young and beautiful people like this lady will continue to die.
