Oh! No! Why? Why is this thing suddenly acting up? This is exactly what I remember saying when my zain modem started acting up on Monday, therefore preventing me from having internet access. Wonderful world indeed.

How can a whole me live without internet access? I went to an internet café near my place, the link there was as usual slow as the tortoise and the snail combined together. The link became super slow. It was an awful sight. Soon, I checked my watch and the time was 6:20pm.

With 10 minutes remaining for the maiden edition of ‘The One Show’ on Viasat1. I got home and the program has already started. I met the segment with the CEO of Allure, Dzigbodi Dosoo.

The 2010 edition of the annual Miss Ghana beauty pageant was launched at Citizen Kofi, Osu.

The rejuvenated beauty pageant was launched in the presence of sponsors, donors and specially invited guest.

After exchanging pleasantries, the host Kwame Sefa Kayi apologized for the late start of the program.

Now it is no news to talk about a late start of events in Ghana anymore, that phenomenon has become part and parcel of us. I guess it has come to stay with us.

Per the development of the pageantry industry, Miss Ghana 2010 comes with few changes to conform the global trend. The organizers have decided to separate the Miss Ghana from the National Dance Championship. This, according to personnel from Media Whiz Kids will enable them leverage the full potential inherent in each other separately in conformance with current trends in both beauty and dance.

It all started from the communities in Tema when a very unassuming Ghanaian boy pushed Reggae records with the late great Kwesi Asher Linton of Rootsman studios fame. Asher gave Prime Eye the motivation and platform to DJ (sing) on Reggae rhythms of the time.

“He would give me the microphone and play the instrumental versions of big Reggae songs, which I did ride like a lizard on a limb and it was an exciting cognitive moment for me. I thank Jah he came my way,” Prime recalls.
