Sala! New Promising Talent From Paradise Entertainment

Sala, the sensation

Paradise Entertainment, the productions label under the tutelage of Mr. Duke Banson which houses the likes of VIP, 4X4, Mzbel and Mimi is set to introduce their newest artiste they call ‘Sala’ the sensation.

Sala was born Salamatu Yakubu. Sala is a short name from her first name. She grew up in Accra, where she had her basic education. Sala is a singer, a model, a songwriter and a budding actress in the making. She first had her talents acknowledged while she was studying in Europe majoring in Arts.

She was signed shortly by management giants Paradise Entertainment when she returned to Ghana to pursued music to the next level. Having been given the chance to watch the two videos of her singles ‘Fakye Me’ and ‘Falling’. All I can say is that I am impressed.

Sala does not only have the talent; she has the voice together with beauty. With her singing prowess and Paradise Entertainment which builds up budding talents into international brands then I think Ghana is about to see a new sensation.

Her first single ‘Fakye Me’ is a love cum apology song. It starts with ‘you know her name right’. Like a girl in love, Sala seems to have an addiction for her man and will go to any extent to do whatever pleases him after offending him.

The constant repetition of ‘am sorry’ and ‘forgive me’ is what makes this song an apology song. DOWNLOAD Fakye Me.

Her second single on the ‘Just The Beginning’ album is ‘Falling’. This is another love song. To my understanding, this song talks about Sala in love with someone who seems not to have realized any of her gestures. She dreams of falling anytime she lays her eyes on her prey. She asked what else she must do for her man to realize she loves him. DOWNLOAD Falling.

Sala who was signed by Paradise Entertainment in January this year has finished putting touches to her maiden ‘Just The Beginning’ which will be launched soon.

Sala is about to break boundaries as both songs are done in Twi and in English.

  1. This chick. She was my classmate back in SSS. Benkum Secondary School.  Back then she showed so much talent and promise. Glad for her. Hope she makes it to the top  and not “give out” too much to get to the top.

  2. Fakye me sounds real neat. Her style is quiet refreshing and much needed. She stacked up to the beat real well and pulled it off. I mean, the emotional response I feel from the track is deep.

Falling sounds a little bit too compressed though, imho. You can actually hear the track pumping. Maybe that was the sound ya’ll were going for, I don’t know. I just thought I mention it. Can’t wait to see more video’s of her. Welcome to the block SALA. All the best.

  4. AH, I HATE TO BE THE ONE WITH THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS BUT HEY, IT IS TRUE! THE WEAVE IS BAD, GIRL HAS A RECEEDING HAIRLINE OR A BIG FORE HEAD, SHE NEEDED A FRINGE, YOU DO NOT NEED TO CRY TO BRING EMOTIONS INTO SINGING, SHE COULD HAVE TOLD A STORY WITH THE VIDEO A FOREIGNER WHO DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH OR TWI WILL THINK SOMETHING ELSE, I THOUGHT SHE LOOKED UNCOMFORTABLE SINGING! SHE DIDNT LOOK IN THE CAMERA ENOUGH, SHE HAS LOVELY ASIAN SORT OF EYES SO SHE DOES NOT NEED THOSE LONG FLASE LASHES, AND THE LOOK SHE WENT FOR, JEEZ, SHE COULD HAVE BROUGHT SOME CLASS. AND NEXT TIME VIDEO DIRECTOR, PLEASE TELL HER TO CONTROL HER HANDS, SHE HAS A BAD SINGING HABIT WHICH MOST FEMALE SINGERS ADOPT, DONT BRING HANDS TO FACE WHEN SINGING BECAUSE YOUR FACE TELLS OF YOUR SONG ALSO AND IT DISTRACTS THE VIEWER, SHE MUST WATCH MIMI’S TATOO AND TAKE SOME NOTES! AND SHE IS AN OKAY SINGER, NO WONDER THEY HELPED HER VOICE WITH THE MACHINE, NOT THE BEST…..LETS SEE HOW LONG SHE LASTS AND WHAT SHE BRINGS OUT NEXT!

    • @BROWNESUGA,
Ei! Against fuo. There’s something about this girl that will take her far. As person with the eye for this sort of thing, I can see it. To advise her to look to MiMi for points is insulting. But to each is own. I’ve never commented on anything MiMi put here ’cause is either I don’t feel the track or nothing special to comment on. But there’s something about this girl. It’s funny, all the comments so far aimed at her music but everything you spewed is at her image. I like her style and can see her going far. MiMi on the other hand is too uncomfortable in her own skin ’cause she’s way out of place (am sure deep down she knows this). Hence she gets a lot of negative comments in this place. This girl will do something. I can see it. I don’t know what it is yet, but I can see it. And no, I DO NOT have a crush on her, just been honest and giving professional critique about her work.
