However, I am reliably informed that Jackie Appiah & Co  have been given a brand new SUV as 2010 Best Actress In Ghana  (beating Kyeiwaa) while Kofi Adu popular known as Agya Koo ” snatched ” the Best Actor’s SUV from Majid Michel.

After a Story Writer writes a remarkable story to  make a good movie, the story is then translated into a script form by a Scriptwriter who sometimes doubles as the story writer.

Actors and actresses are approached for casting by the Casting Crew. With crew and behind the scene individuals such as Costumier/Wardrobe, Location Manager, Make Up Artist, Welfare Personnel,  Continuity, Light/ Sound, Graphic, Post Production, Editor, Director Of Photography, Producers, and Director, shooting then begin.

After weeks to months to years of shooting and editing, there is a movie to be sold and be watched. After selling the movie and making the millions (in whichever currencies), what follows next? Acknowledgement if you ask me.  And that is what the Ghana Movie Awards seeks to achieve, to acknowledge and award the people who have one way or the other contributed to the growth of the Ghana Movie Industry.
