@ Opanin, my guess is what the ladies are trying to say is “she does not speak like an American be it a southern Texan or south Carolina accent or a North eastern U.S. accent”. Granted that there are different accents in the US,what these ladies are trying to say is Yvonne speaks with her Ghanaian accent, so if she spoke english,no one would mistake her for example an American or having stayed in the US for a long time and one would place her accent as Ghanaian or broadly speaking African. She is not trying to slang nor does she use American Jargons as you put it……..Now, i don’t see any “too known about that” It is just expression of their opinion.
