Adams Apple Music Video

Did you forget about this? Another conventional hallmark of  Shirley Frimpong Manso and her Sparrow Production’s movies is the classy music videos that come with each movie.

Though I was expecting it to pop up soon, to be frank, I did not expect it to come from the sensational “Efya”. Just yesterday, I was “gisting” online with a friend about Efya and her performance at the Ghana Music Awards 2011 without knowing she was the one going to bring us the “Sexy Sassy Wahala”, the official music video for “Adams Apple”.

Let me chip in this,  the music video correctly reflects the title “Sexy Sassy…”.  Apart from the indisputable sweet voice of “Efya”, I did not know she had some mad long sexy legs (Geez!, not being a pervert, just saying the obvious”).  I also did not know that Naa Ashorkor had some …….. (find what from the video below).

ADAMS APPLES is a 10 chapter cinema movie series created and directed by Shirley Frimpong-Manso and produced by Ken Attoh.

It is set in the hustle and bustle of the city of Accra and its suburbs with glimpses of the exciting metropolis of London.

The movie follows the lives of the four “Adams” Ghanaian women; the widowed, ex-diplomat’s wife and her three daughters in their early and mid thirties. They work through domestic struggles, family life and personal battles to achieve success and happiness in a fast changing, 21stcentury Ghana where love can elude the hopeless romantic, victory can scorn the hardworking and marriage can be an illusion. The Adams seek all these and more from life and each other.

The cast include:
Yvone Okoro, Jocelyn Dumas, Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku, Anima Misa Amoah, Ajetey Anang, John Dumelo, KSM and many new exciting faces.

Each chapter of Adams Apples will open at the cinema every month over a 12-month period. The first chapter will begin with a grand premiere on the 21st of April 2011 at the National Theatre in Accra and subsequent chapters released consecutively at the silverbird cinema till February 2012.

Adams Apples is sexy its sassy and its got plenty ‘Wahala’.

Synopsis

Chapter 1

Meet the Adams women for the first time in what will be an exciting and unforgettable journey as we turn the chapters in the lives of these dynamic 21st century Ghanaian women.

Jennifer, Baaba and Kukua have a surprise in store for their mother on her birthday but the surprise is almost ruined as Mrs. Adams arrives home with a surprise of her own. Meanwhile Baaba struggles to forgive her estranged husband for his indiscretions whiles her own tear her apart. Kukua is faced with a ghost from her past that threatens to destroy her career and expose a secret she’s sacrificed a lot to keep buried.

The fiercely independent and strong willed Jennifer drives her assistant to a diabolical plan that could spell her demise and Mrs. Adams gets an education on the rules of dating in modern Ghana, whiles the mystery of a land court case, and an unlikely stalker drives a young teacher to seek help for legal action.

Tears, laughter, love and a strong need to succeed drive these women and the men in their lives to seek more from life and each other in this explosive maiden chapter of ‘ADAMS APPLES.

  3. So…this movie should be a clear confirmation that we don’t need Leila Djansi. This movie is going to win so many awards..considering the costume, actress, etc. Thank You Shirley. My last name is also Frimpong, so I dont know if being able to write such great stories runs in the Frimpong family. 🙂

  8. hehehehehehe. you cannot just keep Leila’s name out of your mouth. anywayz. she is going off to do proper hollywood movies to make proper money. she is not a local champion and you guyz know that. its obvious you hater her because you are jealous of her.

you can manage your local champion shirley who cannot make an artistic film. on cheap colorful movies that nobody wants to see. unrealistic crap. if you people really want. pitch leila against shirley in a filmmaking competition. ooops. did I see you run in the other direction?  you know leila is on another level totally.

please tell her, your local champion shirley to credit people who write for her ok. she did not even write Adams apples and she is taking credit for it. Selassie is still asking for his fee and credit for writing checkmate.

    • Yea, you all hating Leila should stop and learn to be happy for others success. Yea, she may be too outspoken sometimes, but it’s because some Ghanaians are too judgmental and ungrateful, and Leila just couldn’t take it. In all honesty, she is a great writer and producer. Yes, I like Shirley’s movies, but it can’t be compared to that of Leila’s. She is simply the best, and instead of us giving her support and encouragement, we diss her. I hope she comes back to Ghana in the future to produce her movies because she is good and would have been good for the industry.

  15. Personally, am really impressed about how he jogs and play around with his words plus being careful and analytical.
In a nutshell, he captured my interest from the onset and that to me should be one of the basic in soliciting for market any product or composition.
