R&M Wins Maiden Edition Of Vodafone Icons, Divas Edition!

The maiden edition of the Vodafone Icons, Divas Edition has come to a triumphant end with the group ‘R&M’ emerging as winners after beating their fiercest rivals Kolors and Keshi 3 in the grand finale to win the prizes at stake; a major recording deal, a GH¢20,000 cash prize for each member of the group and a slot to perform at the upcoming ‘020 Live’ Vodafone’s musical concert.

The group Rhythms and Melody shorten to R&M was adjudged as winners after going through two separate stages in the grand finale at the Accra International Conference Centre [AICC] in the presence of judges, coaches, family and friends. The series started with 8 groups, 5 were evicted to make way to the last three to fight for the crown.

You walk out of the door, insert the key in your car and your phone beeps, you have a new message….it reads “love you, miss you already”.

After talking on the phone for 2 hours and two minutes, there is another message,” did I tell you how much I love you?” You were on girl’s night out on Friday and husband keeps suffocating you with incessant phone calls and messages.

Is it a way of demonstrating strong love or smothering? Many times we always confuse love with smothering. Which ever way it goes, most relationship therapies concentrate on partner’s privacy, time and space, but love they say considers and respects what others desire.

If your partner keeps requesting for your password to any of the social networks, especially facebook, what will be your reaction? Is it insecurity on his part or establishing greater trust, openness and concern in the relationship?

Partners spend waking moments with each other. Never give them breathing space, grasp and stalk on them with crazy phone calls and questions. Pestering loved ones to give up seeing friends, just to spend “quality time”.

Success is one great but a lousy concept which mankind pursues day in and day out. Its definition is blob, so as the path to achieving and maintaining it.

Now and again, we wake up with the zeal and energy to pursuit success, aiming to achieve distinctions in our chase and living fulfilling lives.

Our strong desire to achieve the success we yarn for in order to better ourselves or to uplift our social standards leads us to question or neglect the talents and opportunities we have at hand.

It is very common to hear people saying “I wish I get that opportunity or when I get the opportunity, I will…” More than not, we believe a new opportunity must exist or present it self for one to be successful.

Closely related to the above, we are also in-tune with a very deceiving concept of; there must be the existence of a new or extraordinary talent for one to be successful.

We are therefore in a constant search for new opportunities or talents, a search that has wasted and will continue to waste our lives if we do not subject our mindset to an immediate reconsideration.

Search
