Virgin Atlantic Airways last Saturday the 28 day of May, 2011 at the African Regent Hotel celebrated first year of successful operations in Ghana.
Actor cum presenter Chris Attoh was the MC; the night was full of excitement as guests enjoyed the evening with fantastic entertainment, football and cocktail under African Sunset.
Entertainment on the night was provided by ‘Efya’ and the National Symphony Orchestra String Quartet. Also, there was live screening of the UEFA Champions League Final between Barcelona and Manchester United.
Veteran actor Dan Tei Mensah has denied rumours that the Film Producers of Ghana (FIPAG) has banned him because he is shooting his own movie with some crew members who are considered as foreigners.
“Nobody has said anything to me about ban or sidelining me. I just spoke with Socrates Sarfo yesterday and he did not tell me anything about banning me, so I don’t know why these guys are cooking up this rumoured ban. I have not been banned,” he told NEWS-ONE on Wednesday evening.
Dan is one of Ghana’s veteran actors and has featured in a number of Ghanaian movies. Among his movie are ‘Shadows From The Past’, ‘Without Her Concern’, ‘Wedlock’, ‘Ogboo Nana’, ‘Man-Woman’, ‘Chelsea’ and a number of others. In all, he has featured in over 100 movies from a career that started in 1985.
On Saturday June 4, 2011 at the Accra Mall and Boomerang Night Club, the Ghanaian media and the general public will come closer to two most celebrated people in the movie industry all the way from the United States of America.
The two, making up of Tracey Moore and Samad Davis will be in the country to fulfill the promise which has been made by Paradise Entertainment to bring them to the country to start what they call the “Spirited Actor”. The publicity of the acting reality show has been running on many media platforms with Viasat 1 television station leading the pack.
‘Spirited Actor’ has the theme “In Search of the Next African Hollywood Star”. It is an initiative of Davis Media Group and Paradise Entertainment, operators of the leading Night Club in Ghana, Boomerang Night club and managers of hip life artistes VIP, Sala and Mimi.
