Juliet Ibrahim And Family
Juliet Ibrahim And Family

Very recently, an article was published on GhanaCelebrities.Com discussing why the Ghana Movie Industry has no child stars. GC readers discussed this issue at length. I decided to contact ‘Juliet Ibrahim’ one of our own celebrities on this issue.

She found the topic interesting and something that needs much attention. Today I present to you the chit chat I had with Actress Juliet Ibrahim:

GhanaCelebrities.Com: First of all who is Juliet Ibrahim and how did she become a movie star?

I can be described as the girl next door, am down to earth, friendly, fun to be with; once you get to know me, I am easy going, lovable, determined, straightforward and a jovial person.

I could go on and on with the list but I don’t think its necessary lol. I am married and the proud mother of Jayden Kofi Safo, my son. I come from a family of 4 kids of which I am the eldest.

I am a movie star today because I was destined to be. It all happened when I auditioned and was chosen for a role in the movie crime to Christ, since then; I am listed and counted amongst the top best 10 out of Ghana. It’s a privilege to be appreciated by so many fans around the world today.

Adams Apples Chapter 2
Adams Apples Chapter 2

The ‘Wahala’ continues on Friday, 3rd June, 2011 at the National Theatre, Accra where Chapter 2 of Shirley Frimpong Manso’s ten chapter cinema movie series ‘Adams Apples’ will be premiered.

It does not matter if you have not gotten the chance to watch the 1st Chapter, though the chapters link to each other, each one can be appreciated and perfectly understood when watched; they are independent of each other as far as understanding is concerned.

You do not therefore have to watch Chapter 1 to be able to understand and enjoy the twisted connections Chapter 2 presents.

If you have already watched Chapter 1, then you have no reason to miss the premiere of the 2nd Chapter which comes with extra ‘Wahala’.

In chapter 2 of Adams Apples, the day starts off rocky for Kukua Adams as she knocks heads with her new boss over her creative prowess; meanwhile Denu takes a firm decision to let go off the past which seem to rock Kukua’s world even harder.

Social Issue: BNI Investigates Homose*uality In Western, Central Regions…

blank

The Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) has begun investigations into the growing rate of homosexuality in the Western and Central regions, Western Regional Minister, Mr. Paul Evans Aidoo has revealed.

According to the minister, there is the need for a thorough investigation into what he terms a “social canker” which has contributed to the growing rate of HIV/AIDS in the country.

About eight thousand homosexuals were registered by non-governmental organization (NGOs) at a day’s workshop in the Western and some parts of the Central regions after they (homosexuals) underwent voluntary counseling and testing with majority of them infected with sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including HIV/AIDS.

The workshop, which was funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), aimed at training health workers to be abreast with the basic facts about HIV and AIDS also revealed that, the homosexuals included students in junior and senior high schools, polytechnics and workers.

The growing rate of homosexuals in the country has resulted in the tripling of sexually transmitted diseases especially HIV and AIDS.

Mr Paul Evans Aidoo revealed on Adom FM on Wednesday that, even though homosexuality is illegal, it is still widely practiced secretly which makes it very difficult to arrest the culprits.

He said it is very important for the homosexuals to be identified, especially those infected with STDs to control the spread.
