GhanaCelebrities.Com caught up with Actress & Model-Nikoletta Samonas of Beyonce 1 & 2 fame for a chat and we ended up talking about her inspiration, relationship, values, family, career and others.

After the movie ‘Beyonce’, Nikki continued acting by starring in War of Roses, Desperate Measure, Red Label, Love and Bullets, Wrong Line, DNA Test and other African movies.

Check out our chit chat and exclusive photos below…

GhanaCelebrities.Com: What do you represent as an individual, in terms of your values?

I am a Christian; I represent the image of God and Christian values.

I am a female; I represent the chalice, womanhood and most of all

I represent me, because there is no other me in the world

GhanaCelebrities.Com:  From what I know, you started as a model and now an actress, any chances of you going back to modeling?

I still model, a commercial model and I still get gigs. As at now, 2 of ma adverts are still airing on television.

GhanaCelebrities.Com: Apart from acting, what else are you involved in?

I work with farmhouse productions in Osu, makers of things we do for love, fortune island and theMalta Guinness streetdance. I major in concept development.

GhanaCelebrities.Com: What inspires/motivates you as an actress?

My life experiences and the experiences of others shared, Movies, books and most of all seminars and documentaries…

When I am exposed to these mediums of communication I feel my very own experience of existence is just a fraction of what my life is all about.

With the help of my family commenting my moves and the little voice in my head screaming to me to work hard I don’t stop moving towards my goal even though decision making is a paradox of choice.

GhanaCelebrities.Com: Have you had to make many sacrifices in your personal relationships within your career? If yes, what are they?

In general, achieving a goal means working towards it. And working towards something means making sacrifices. So yes, I have made sacrifices.

One example I’ll give has to do with the choice of roles I get in making a movie. I sometime back had a major role for a script and in as much as I had wanted to do it, I couldn’t because my management didn’t agree with the terms of finances and that created a big fight between them and I .

One extremely good role gone down the drain. A sacrifice I had to make. And vice versa; the finances are superb but the role is not. So it goes on hand in hand and sometimes messes up the relationship between my management and I.

GhanaCelebrities.Com: How do you deal with the negative criticisms that come with being an actress

I tell myself that its part of the job and I can’t run away from it. Besides human beings are always being criticized let alone those of us in the spotlight. It’s a normal phenomenon, its human behavior. Then I tell myself to watch my step.

GhanaCelebrities.Com: Who are your role models as far as your career is concerned?

Rama Brew, Tyler Perry, Oprah Winfrey and Nicole Kidman

GhanaCelebrities.Com: What’s the most challenging aspect of being an actress in Ghana?

Putting myself in a character and convincing the viewers how real that character is in a movie, but making sure in that in real life I am not perceived as that character but as the real me, the real Nikki. That is a lot of work and extremely challenging

GhanaCelebrities.Com: What advice would you give to aspiring actresses?

Nothing comes easy in life… work hard and you will get there believing that with God all things are possible.

GhanaCelebrities.Com: Lastly, tell us a little bit about yourself, family and love life…

Am still the same Nikoletta Samonas just around the corner. A graduate of KNUST, a September 5th born, Virgo by star and loves swimming, watching movies, and dancing, preferably salsa.

I am half Greek Half Ghanaian, living in Tema. I like travelling when am less busy. My favourite local food is banku, it can go with anything but ild prefer okro soup.  I don’t eat meat. I am into sea foods, spices and veggies. I am a craze for jewelries and I love gadgets.

On Sundays my mum prepares homemade waakye or omo tuo and ooo, that’s one thing I’ll never stop eating even when I get married, I’ll prepare it myself, it’s a secret recipe. I laugh a lot and I like to be sarcastic.

I paint when I have the time to as well. Am pretty private about my personal life as it does not conform to my life as an actress.

  3. Cool interview…She’s very naturally pretty in her pics…think she looks better with her natural hair than the pic with the weave. Still can’t get over a movie being entitled ‘Beyonce’ lol  She sounds grounded though need to watch one of her movies.

    • and u are who to judge but a narrow minded person…its funny how most european countries do not want toaccept people ascitizens just by birth…but ghananians want to inflict that title like its not worth anything…and she didnt deny that she was ghanaian but stated she was mixed race thus a person of black and white parentage

    • stop hating people is pathetic…to think you all had time to read then comment on nothing productive only shows how vindictive u all are…get a life and let somone live hers….i doubt niki will ever go on your site if u should ever have one to write hateful insights about you….and just by that shows how much of a better person she is than you….

    • @akosua, thats because gh is obsessed with lightskinned people. t hey come 2 gh and act and then brag about how proud they are to be lebanese greek or dutch while most of them were born and bred in ghana

  8. Well, She doesnt look like model to me.In todays world, everyone calls themselves a model just when they r skinny and fair…..hmmmm

  9. I think she is a cute girl but the photos she submitted to GC did not do her any justice. The pics are badly taken and make-up badly done. Who was her make-up artiste? Don’t tell me it was her mother.

  10. Another disappointed white girl (Obrani Petey) in Ghana desperately looking to be famous and the only route is to say I am an Actress or a model. Has she forgotten the other joint? Prostitution is an easy route and can make you famous too.

That will save some of us from bad acting and seeing these people on our screens all the time. It will also open way for the better actress to come in. Actress my foot

  13. Tiffany I do respect your right to express your opinion, but c’mon there’s no need to bring out the frustration and desperation of your life on a girl who had equal opportunities to you but simply took advantage of them better than you… “Prostitution the way to success” ???? you are the first woman to suggest this (openly at least) just think would you want your daughter to do that, or are you doing that yourself and want to pull in more ppl so u can feel better about yourself. I know Nikki and she has worked hard to be where she is so just leave her to be. You’re not God so dnt judge. I could easily say things about you but won’t. Hope you do find true happiness in life cos that’s what we shd all aspire to.
