After going through the pictures below, you will know why the established actors like Michel Attoh [Ultimate Paradise] Ekow Smith Asante, Kwaku T, Gloria Safo [TV3’s Efiewura], Benjamin Kwadey [Sun City] among others didn’t make it to the final auditions of ‘The Spirited Actor’ – The Search For Africa’s Next Hollywood Star.

Over 700 people were auditioned. Only 30 managed to score a star on the judge’s cards. The 30 was trimmed down further to the final 10. They are made up of four males and 6 females.

Their names are; ABI, EMMA, FACE, JEFF, JOAN, KING JO, MARIE, OBI, SEMIRA, AND UMAR. Tomorrow at the National Theatre, the final 5 will be named fromGhana to join the other 5 picked fromNigeria and together they will start the Reality Show

‘The Spirited Actor’ – The Search For Africa’s Next Hollywood Star to take place inNew York.

After watching the final auditions at the National Theatre where the 10 finalists performed to the audience. It has given me the opportunity to make some predictions of the final 5 ahead of tomorrow. My prediction is based on hunch.

The guys didn’t really impress the audience and myself included. Consequently, I won’t be surprised if majority or the final 5 are females. Below are pictures of the 5, I believe will seal through if everything goes on well.

so all those so called stars were there.i dont blame they are in search of greener pastures.i thought the second person in that picture was a model, when did she become an actress.all i wish for the contestants is that may the best ones be chosen, not the good.and when you get there prove to the nigerians we are better than them.

It looks very good and I hope they will be looking for great talent and not so much about their looks, like in many of the actor/actresses you see in most ghanian films. They just don’t know how to act!?! it’s like what the hell…. this include some of the starts…. LOL…

when i talk, people will attack me….i’ve always said that our acting is below-par..yes among those we have now,we choose our favourites but comparing dem to others from outside, u realise dat we haven’t even started acting. when u watch a south african sitcom, series, drama etc…u realise the difference.

we have an issue in dis country where we fail to give opportunities to young, up and coming youth to portray their talent. we stick wit the old faces until dey fade out, den we pick new ones…now we use Majid to play elderly roles as well as youthful roles…wht happened to all the older, matured actors or even undiscovered talents..

i’m not surprised that the established guys couldn’t do jack. the only surprise i have is Ekow cos i thought he’s quite gud. i guess it’s back to the concert party movies for dem….

I hope they remain original when they go to new york or wherever it is. I watched their ads on viasat and man did I hate their locally acquired foreign accent! geez. the Emma girl even mentions her name as EmmaR. how?
