Martha Ankomah vs Yvonne Okoro: The Battle Of The Sexy Actresses

Martha Ankomah And Yvonne Okoro
Martha Ankomah And Yvonne Okoro

Martha Ankomah and Yvonne Okoro stand tall when it comes to the display sexiness and curvy bodies in African Movies.

These two young Actresses have over the years warm themselves into the heart of African movie lovers especially Ghanaians. With her mixed parentage (Nigeria & Ghana) being capitalized on, Yvonne Okoro has also stretched her fame to Nigeria.

Despite the fact that Martha Ankomah has not worked in many Nollywood movies (none that I know of yet), her curvy body, sharp tongue and talent has gotten her well known in Nollywood through the Ghanaian movies she has starred in.

Talking about talent and body, Yvonne Okoro has it all at her finger tips too…I do not think I will have to apologize to any one if I say Martha Ankomah and Yvonne Okoro have all it takes to hit the dreamland of many Actors-Hollywood… (They will just have to take few classes and probably ditch the fake accent and they will be there..LOL)

When it comes to raw talents in Ghana Movie Industry, these two can be easily named…Now where

It is undisputable that both Actresses have been blessed with raw talent. However, as with all competitions and battles, there can only be one winner. Therefore, who is your ‘Queen of Sexiness and Raw Talent?’- Yvonne Okoro or Martha Ankomah?

  1. for some reasons Martha always appear to me like one Akurasinee who really doesnt know how to dress. She has talent and all but her style is hmmm. I think she should stop using make-up. it doesnt look nice on her, i like her more with her natural hair n face. i will go for Yvonne cos she looks neat, smart and her wardrobe is my taste…. dont hate pls …

  2. This is hard as in some movies Yvonne is too much and in some movies Martha is the same with over reacting. And talking about the accent, like you’ve said above, It’s too much. And what’s with all the accent these days? It’s like taking too much of ones attention. Next minute is American, British and GHanaian…. But yeah… They need hell a lot of training!

Due to the face accent, sorry ladies no vote this time.

  3. I think they are both the queen of sexiness and raw talent, despite the fact that, Martha is of a harsh kind and Yvonne is more of the calm kind.

  4. Both are very good actresses. Okoro is probably the best actress in Ghana now. Martha is good, but Yvonne has picked up acting skills faster than Martha. But yes, Martha has got some really good raw acting skills. In terms of hotness, it’s a NO CONTEST. Martha Ankomah is the bad girl naughty queen of Ghana, no doubt. Even when she is not acting ‘bad-girl’ guys cant keep their eyes of those curves and woo-ing eyes. Okoro is pretty, just like Joselyn Dumas. The kind that you think of as a wife or a corporate woman. They hardly comes across as a sex symbol. Martha doesn’t need any effort to look sexy. She’s got it naturally.

  5. well i can say Martha could make it to Hollywood before any cuz she never does flashy safe roles except for one she did ….. but for sure she wins this cuz her roles are
challenging n delivered with success. Martha wins n i did not know she has roots in Naija 😉

  9. I Am from naija.yvonne nelson is by far the most classiest actress in ghana.I was awestroke when i saw her one day in ghana in a business firm.we had a brief chat and i thought in my mind ‘dis lady sounds familiar, her accent sound nigerian and she is way classier than all the ghanian movie industry put together, then somehow i learnt that she has a nigerian father, and i almost screamed “no wonder” i shud have known, cos even her surname is from d igbo tribe in naija.she probably got her class 4rom her naija father.no offense but the average naija actress is way classier than his/her ghanian counterpart.dont hate on her now cos she aint completly ghanaian.lol

    • @Solomon, just another stupid nigerian, always trying to look down on other africans. what kinda class does ur actors and actresses have. i can’t believe u will call those bush actors and actresses classy. if you wanna know what classy is maybe you should start watching ghanaian movies. gosh, ur stars cant even dress to save their lives. watch a nigerian movie and all u see is bad fashion, bad makeup, horrible wigs, poor sound and poor picture quality. FYI Yvonne Okoro is ghanaian. ask her and she will tell u that. her dad calls ghana his home. she was born and bred in ghana. she doesnt have a nigerian accent cause she doesnt say “tharteen” and “Norse”. her accent is ghanaian. she had never been to nigeria until she started acting. she only featured in one movie in nigeria. dont know how a person who was born and bred in ghana will hve a nigerian accent. u ve never met this lady otherwise u would hve known she doesnt sound nigerian so stop lying. Gosh! dont konw why nigerians always wanna look down on people to make themselves feel good while their country is a shitty as every african country out there if not even worse. its ok to be proud of your country but dont try to condemn somebody. yeah i know i am doing that too but you got me really pissed fool. i dont even know why the blogger will compare these two ladies since one hve lived aversees and the other one has not. yvonne okoro has studied in france before compared to martha who has lived in ghana all her life, so of course there is gonna be a difference in the way both them dress or behave. its also like comparing a nigerian who has lived overseas before to one who has lived in nigeria all his or her life. every body knows a typical nigerian is as bush as ever. they are the only people who goes around boasting over nothing. even south africans are more polite and appreciative of other africans even though their country is 10 times more beautiful than both nigeria and ghana. GET A LIFE FOOL!

      • @NANAAMA, I agree with you, i think ghanaians n south africans are the most polite n nicest africans on the continent, not only is their country beautiful but richer than most african countries but they hardly boast about how beautiful or polished they are like u ‘know whom country’, always talking big n putting other africans down to make themselves look better.

  10. @miss dior.I was typing very fast.pardon my mistake.
@nanaama.when we had our little conversation,i found out that even though she does not completly sound nigerian her accent differ from d everyday ghanaian.
I am not trying to begin a country row here.I came back from work and stumbled on the website.I have never been on the site before.I dont want to sound like we need her or something cos we have a lot of quality entertainers.I am sorry if it sounds like i want to snatch her 4rom u guys.
And no way can ghana be compared to naija in any ramification. And about south africa i have also been there.naija and south africa have developed a bond which we do not have with other nations cos we share a lot both historically and economically.like it or not we both represent africa.South africa was developed by d whites and they dont have a quarter of our population or dont u think the higher the population the higher the cost of development.maybe that is why the west value us cos we build our nation by ourself and not depending on some whites to help us.Dat is the reason why the average nigerian is proud of naija cos we know our potential and if we put our head into anything together as a nation we are unstoppable.south africa knows this dat is why we have a lot of economic activities going on btw those two nations (nigeria south africa chamber of commerce).SO WHEN ANY NATION IN AFRICA HAS A POPULATION IN EXCESS OF 150 MILLION AND STILL REMAIN THE SECOND LARGEST ECONOMY IN AFRICA AND THIRD FASTEST GROWING ECONOMY IN THE WORLD AFTER INDIA AND CHINA GET BACK TO ME.lest i forget there was a time when u movies were so childish but i must naija has polished u up a little. But unfortunately it is beginning to deteriorate into soft porn movies.dat is wat u get for showing ingratitude.CAN U IMAGINE THIS LOW LIFES THREATENING TONTO DIKE unless she apologize to van vicker she should not come to ghana.WHO THE HELL IS VAN VICKER AND WHO THE HELL IS GHANA.GOSH.EMPTY VESSELS

    • @Solomon, u know what i am not even gonna waist my time and argue with u. u r just one of those ignorant nigerians who thinks nothing good come out of Ghana. everything you said shows how ignorant u are. just imagine nigerians making fun of other people’s accent when u guys hve the worst accent in africa. yeah so u hve a large economony and so what. majority of ur population are still living in poverty. give me a break. nigeria’s poverty rate is even higher than ghana. abt Tonto Dike and Van Vicker’s issue, maybe the next time u meet Tonto Dike, ask here if she ever got any threat from any director or directors in ghana. she came out to debunk the rumor. check onlinenigeria.com for the whole story. that false story was actually taken off a website called mercyjohnson.com. it has no link to prove its claim. Like i said, i dont have time for ur ignorant ass. and oh please, spare me that lie. south africa and ghana are the only two countries in africa that u nigerians hate. i dont know why? i see that from a lot of ur blog sites. all those trash u guys say abt these two countries. i magine nigerians calling south african arrogant. u guys never seize to amaze me. its like the kettle calling the cooking pot black. No wonder, south africans dont like u guys either. u guys are so arrogant. just because of ur big population u guys feel like the rest of the african countries should lie down for u guys to walk on. FYI. if u wanna know what low life is, may be u should take a second look at ur own people. almost 70 percent of u guys are withering in poverty. no wonder they are trooping to ghana like a bunch of refugees.

    • @Solomon, Please spare us the 150 million population , most of your people are 419 anyway, from your politicians to the layman. Talking about potential, the average 9ja is either a thief or croak, thats what most of your country men have the potential to do, now u being the second largest economy on the continent that is a lie, just recently a compilation of african conuntries with best economy was done, south africa was no.1 on the list, nigeria wasnt even on the top 10, as usual u are talking big n bragging, being 150 population doesnt mean anything, yall are a failed state, thats why u are trooping to ghana like refugees, until genny, omo n that COKEHEAD TONTO, wins an oscar for their bogus movies, then come back n talk to us. Bollywood did win an oscar for one of their movies, forgotten the name, we are waiting on nollywood to see if u can make a quality movie that white n black america can watch to earn u an oscar. The moral of the story is u nigerians dont and will never get it, and we ghanaians are not going to try to make u get it, yall are lost course anyway.

  12. @namaan.Well as i said before Nigeria has the second largest economy in africa, like it or not.d IMF AND WORLD BANK have predicted that by 2013 ,nigeria wil surpass south africa in economic power.due 2 d population, there is irregular distribution dat does not mean naija is not wealthy.we are d favourites 4 the u.n permanent seat for africa.someone said nigerians flock to ghana, can u tell me what is in ghana?nigerians are in almost every part of the world just like d chinese, dat does not mean china is poor, afterall we all know dat we ard d one giving u d economic lift.ur best jobs are held by nigerians not only in ghana but also in south africa.infact d best positions held by africans in d west are held by nigerians.england gatwick airport ,2 most busiest airport in u.k is owned by a nigerian. And on fraud, dat goes 2 show u how intelligent d average nigerian is,which explains why we have d best doctors, engineers, scientists, or does ghana have a nobel laureate holder.d only nation with laureate in africa are naija and kenya and south africa.lest i forgot, was it not ur citizen dat committed d greatest fraud in history?dat is like asia and africa combined.hypocrites,u are stil a long way off.And for our accent, cnn ranked us fifth sexiest accent in d world,u may google to clarify.just keep watching, while we take our place in africa and d world.

    • @Solomon, like i said b4 i dont hve time for u . i know all nigerians do is brag. i dont give a damn about u nigerians. there are also ghanians doing great things fool. most nigerians are not familiar with ghanaian last names and the truth is that we ghanaians dont go abt bragging abt ur achievements like u guys do. i bet u know the former UN secretary general was ghanaian. more like the president of the whole world. A ghanaian is a NASA scientist here in the US. and the list goes on. its ok to boast of nigerians achievement but if u dont know stuff abt another country, dont talk trash. i guess this is just the personality of almost all nigerians. just like Simi, a nigeria friend of mine here at Georgia State University once came to my appartment and this issue abt ghana and nigeria athletes came up. as usual, as a typical nigerian, she started condemning ghana and bragging and listing all the nigerian atlethes in both American football and Basket ball and laughing abt how ghana doesnt hve any. i just looked at her and smiled. i started listing ghanian athletes too here in the US in American Football and Basketball. i eneded up beatin her by one athletes. she named 7 and i named 8. she was so shocked. i was like, if u dont know anything abt another country, keep quiet. then she was like oh, i didnt know they are ghanaians, and i was like yea! because u are not familiar with a freaking last names. the anoying thing is u guys always talk as if u know much abt ghana when clearly u dont. u know nothing abt ghana struggles, it achievements and what its citizens are doing glonally. OMG. who told u the best jobs in ghana are held by nigerians. i blame my government for all this rubbish coming from u guys. FYI, there are ghanaian businesses, south african business, nigerian businesses, and other businesses from overseas. ghana allows only 30 percent of foreign investors and thats where u guys fall in. within that 30 percent and nothing more. u guys share that 30 percent spot with other investors. every country needs foreing investors too i hope u know that. even all mighty US rely on foreign inverstors too. its no biggie if some nigerian business men are in our country. ghana is a very condusive place to do business that why ur people are there. even nigeria has its share of foreing investors too right? u guys never seize to amaze me. like my mother said, give a nigerian shelter for one night, the next day he/she is gonna go around saying he is the feeding ur entire family. FYI, ghana is not poor as many nigerians see it. we have basically every thing u guys have. we get our money from gold, oil, cocoa, and other raw materials. there are rich ghanaians in ghana, middle class ghanaians and poor ghanains just like u hve in ur country. and Oh, the poverty rate in ghana is only 20 percent compared to ur almost 70 percent poverty rate. for a small country like ghana, our 70 something billion GDP is not bad. i know it would definitely go up with our new discovery of oil just like u guys make ur money primarliy from oil export. FYI.ghana is the fastest growing economy in 2011 by economywatch and world bank with a growth of almost 20 percent. maybe that explain why ur bisuness men including ordinary nigerians are trooping to our country. and Oh. our Cedi is way stronger than that ur naira u know that right? i can believe that with just one ghana cedi, i will be like 100 and something naira richer. how weak can a currency be. hmm! i think that also explains why ur people are in ghana now. our currency now is like dollar to u guys. BTW. have u finish thinking about the current state of nigeria lately. thought you would be more concerned about Boko Haram bombing and killing you guys than you coming on here to spew nonsense about ghana and ghanaians in general. even if my country was poor, one thing i am pround of is that fact that we are not gonna through violence like it is happeneing in ur country right now, a country with many ethnic groups, yet we live at peace with each other. i cant say that for u guys. ignorant and arrogant fucks.

  13. Thank you Nana Ama for standing up to this arrogant fool, Ive had it with these nigerians who come and always talk down to Ghanaian, we have been so accommodating of them and all we get back is total disrespect, why the hell dp they think they are better than us when we almost always beat them in everything, they are just LOUD and their huge population gives the chance to vote for their appalling accent as e 5th sexiest on e world- lol, that is quite laughable….. i mean really ? come on! even most nigerians themselves certainly dont beleive that crap- seriously, if u guys think u have what it takes to take over the world start putting ur country in order n stop n be grateful to the very hospitable ghanians who are tolerating ur stupid arrogance. we deserve some respect’! And if ur country is so great why do i guys keep trouping here?

  14. I just want to ask a question? Why is it that when someone makes a harmless comment, it becomes a competitive one, nigeria and ghana I can’t believe this, @nanaama, @ solomon. What’s this new nigerian and ghanaian rivalry going on in almost all the blogs, we are one and its a shame, we would be the ones doing this, we are africans, we are one. Whether we like it or not ghanaian make better movies for now, I’m proudly nigerian, so I’m not taking sides but that doesn’t change the fact that nigerians used to make good movies in the past but it has ceased due to the illiteracy and corrupt nature of the marketers in our system. I love majid, he’s my favourite english speaking actor in africa but for a favourite actress ill still stick to my genevieve, you can’t kill me for it, every one has an opinion,it brings no room for fights pls, nigerians and ghanaians are one, I always say it, you’re fighting yourselves, teasing your accents, who owns the english language, the same white men, you think if you fight each other anyone would take sides with you, please let’s stop the hating, let’s discuss ways to improve ourselves rather than topics that can take us anywhere. Ghanaians nigerians are not in competition with you, we recognise and love your talent, nigerians pls I don’t expect this from you, pls @ solomon and @ nanama pls stop the hating
