Bringing Apartheid To Ghana: What’s Missing?

Amid the intense HOOPLA surrounding the so called “WHITES” who wouldn’t let a local join the “ALL WHITE” club in Ghana, I decided to inject my unsolicited two cents.  How DARE THEY! You come into our HUMBLE CASA, we welcome you with open arms, ingratiate yourself with the ever so loving locals and then have the balls of titanium to take over our house??

HOW DARE YOU?? My fellow Ghanaian citizens, bear in mind that there is a fine line between HOSPITALITY and STUPIDITY!  And most often than not, we tend to fall in the latter. Most of us have crossed that stupidity line.

People can only treat you only by how you want to be perceived as. LET’S STOP SELLING OURSELVES SHORT! For some weird reason, the mere whiff of a “foreigner” in our country will have some locals spinning like lost puppies, extol their foreign background and elevate them to highest status also known as KISSING ASS!!

Kumasi-Based Actor George Berthou Faults The Organisers Of The ‘Kumawood Film Festival & Akoben Movie Awards!

Few weeks ago, Kumawood Entertainment and Concept Developers with support from major stakeholders of the film industry launched a new film festival ‘Kumawood Film Festival’ and award scheme ‘Akoben Movie Awards‘.

The event aims at rewarding Actors, Actresses, Writers, Directors, Producers, Technician and other personalities in the local film making industry in Ghana.

It is also to provide opportunities for film makers to have spotlight on their films and also aims at promoting, supporting indigenous Ghanaian film making.

Many players from that part of the industry have lauded the concept. On his part, half Ghanaian and half French actor cum director who is based in Kumasi, George Berthou has faulted the organisers for hurriedly launching the awards.

He told GhanaCelebrities.Com that, he felt the organisers rushed to outdoor the awards: “Definitely, I think the program and some of the things were not well put. Some of the things were not well arranged. The organisation weren’t well up to scratch.”

Ghana’s representative at this year’s Miss World beauty pageant competition Stephanie Adwoa Adjeiwaa Karikari, is gradually warming herself into the finals.

In a feat that came as little surprise to the organizers of the Miss World event, Karikari made Ghana proud by qualifying as one of ten finalists in the Beauty With a Purpose (BWP) segment.

The Segment is one of several Fast Track events that precede the major announcement and crowing of the Miss World queen. The dynamics are such that, a finalist in any particular Fast Track event automatically stands a chance of winning the ultimate crown.

4 Days More For Ghana UK Based Achievement Awards (GUBA)

This Sunday, London will again play host to the esteemed GUBA Awards. The red carpet will be rolled out and the Park Plaza Embankment will house some of the UK and Ghana’s shining stars. A plethora of guests have already confirmed their attendance to the event founded by Dentaa last year.

Ellen Thomas will be hosing  alongside Ras Kwame. The Eastenders’ actress and former BBC Radio presenter  will take guests through a extravagant award ceremony.

In attendance will be Arsenal quartet Emmanuel Frimpong,  Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Daniel Boateng and Chuks Aneke. All four players have enjoyed much success this year with Frimpong and Oxlade-Chamberlain both making  first team appearances in the league while Boateng and Aneke made League Cup appearances.
