Ghana’s finest Andre Dede Ayew has been named BBC’s African Footballer of the year-2011. As we say Congrats to him, we will like to say thank you to all who voted for him as well. Our campaign to have everyone vote for him worked to perfection.
Dede Ayew, 21, took over a third of the votes to follow in the footsteps of his father, Abedi “Pele” Ayew, who won the inaugural BBC award in 1991.Ayew beat Yaya Toure, Gervinho, Samuel Eto’o and Seydou Keita to the title.
He deserves it!
