February 26: Dr. Nduom Explains Symbol Of The PPP!
Founder and leader of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom has said that, PPP would represent a clear and specific platform for change so that Ghana can feel it in their lives and pockets. He said the red sun, symbol of the PPP, was shining on homelessness, poverty, diseases, lack of water and unstable power supply, poor education, road accidents and unemployment and corruption.
February 26: Ras Mubarak Launches Campaign
The Parliamentary Candidate for the Ablekuma North Constituency of the National Democratic Congress, (NDC) in the Greater Accra Region, Mr. Ras Mubarak has launched his struggle to capture the seat from the opposition New Patriotic Party Candidate and seating MP, Mr. Joe Appiah.
February 27: Kwadwo Mpiani Laughs Off Accusations Of Stealing Official Documents
Former Chief of Staff in the Kufuor’s administration, Kwadwo Mpiani has laughed off accusations that he stole documents and files thus somewhat incapacitating the ruling government to effectively get to the bottom of certain sensitive cases. He described the allegations as ridiculous and childish, wondering why he would take away files that do not belong to him in the first place.
February 29: Ghana, Serbia Close Down Missions!
Serbia has booted Samuel Valis-Akyianu, Ghana’s Ambassador to Serbia, out of the country after a major diplomatic row. The Foreign Affairs Minister, Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni, told Parliament on Wednesday the hitherto “cordial relations” between the two countries suffered serious bruises after Ghana recognised break-away Kosovo in the former Yugoslavia as an independent state.
February 29: President Mills: Govt To Give Facelift To Selected Markets!
President John Evans Atta Mills says the government will begin a programme to give selected markets in Accra a facelift in May this year. He said the redevelopment work will involve decongestion, the construction of drains and the general rehabilitation of structures in the markets as part of the government’s better Ghana agenda.

American President Barrack Obama has invited Ghana’s President, His Excellency President John Evans Atta Mills for an official visit to the United States of America. President Mill is will leave to the United States after the Independence Day Parade on March 06, 2012.

March 1: Martin Amidu Explodes Again With Another ‘Gargantuan’ Statement!

Former Attorney-General, Martin Amidu, who was fired for “misconduct” somewhere in January this year, has issued another “gargantuan” statement describing himself as a “citizen vigilante”, the contents of which is sure to stir up a hornet’s nest in political circles.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ave-Avenor and First Deputy Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho would be honoured for his contribution towards the development of the area.

NDC Women’s Organizers in the Volta Region have visited businessman, Alfred Agbesi Woyome. Their visit was to solidarise with him in the wake of the brouhaha surrounding the judgment debt paid to him following the ruling of an Accra High Court (Commercial Division).
March 3: AFAG To Hold Regional Fora!
Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) has declared its support for Mr Martin Amidu, former Attorney General and Minister for Justice in his crusade to fight against corruption in Ghana.
They said as a group, who believe in upholding the rule of law, promoting the interest of Ghanaians, and ensuring sound governance based on the true principles of accountability and transparency, they share and state without ambiguity, their highest support for any crusade that aim to deter perpetrators of gargantuan corruption against the state.
