The Founder of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, has described the pronouncement of President John Evans Atta Mills as having chalked an unprecedented achievement over the last three years as absurd.
Speaking during an interaction with journalists in the United States to end his official trip, President Mills said his achievements span from the economic sector to education among others and they are conspicuous enough for all to see.

THE ELECTORAL Commission (EC) was best resourced under ex-President Jerry John Rawlings, says Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan, the Electoral Commissioner. Dr. Afari-Gyan is apparently unhappy with the altitude of successive governments that took over after Mr. Rawlings’ administration which ended in 2000.
March 14: Demo Rocks Tamale!
A mammoth demonstration dubbed ‘Atta Miisim’ took place at the Tamale metropolis. The demonstration which was attended by thousands of residents hit the streets of the city. The demonstrators, who cut across all age groups and clad in red and black clothes, defied the scorching sun to register their displeasure about government’s handling of critical issues pertaining to the north.
March 13: EC Boss: Prisoners Must Vote Only In Presidential Elections!
Dr. Kwadwo Afari Gyan, the Electoral Commissioner has suggested that prisoners be made to vote only in the presidential election in December and not in the parliamentary polls. Among his reasons, prisoners may not have adequate knowledge of the candidates contesting in the constituencies they find themselves.
March 13: AMA Threatens To Arrest Odaw Residents!
The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has threatened to arrest all residents living along the Odaw streams who continue to dump refuse and human excreta in the river. The AMA has come under heavy criticisms for failing to drench the river which has been choked with rubbish and other waste materials.
