Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, opposition New Patriotic Party’s Vice Presidential candidate has been officially introduced to the National Executives of the party. His official visit to the party’s headquarters was to meet the executives.
April 7: Use Easter to foster unity within – President Mills!
The President and Council of Elders of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) must use the Easter to foster peace and unity within the rank and file of the party. A group calling itself the Northern Friends of Dr. Ekow Spio Garbrah, which made call, said smoking the peace pipe this season would ensure a smooth victory for the party in the December Polls.
April 7: Residents Prevent Students From Registering At Kenyasi!
Some residents at Kenyasi Number one on Thursday prevented final year students of OLA Girls Senior High School at Kenyasi in Asutifi District of Brong-Ahafo from registering in the on-going new biometric voters registration exercise. The students, numbering more than 100, had sought permission from the school authorities to go and register in the town but were sacked by some residents.
April 6: NPP’S Secret Agenda Exposed!
A social and political advocacy group, THE BRIDGE, says their observations of political events leading to the forthcoming general elections reveals surreptitious but veritable underground conspiracies on the part of the NPP to unleash mayhem and violence. THE BRIDGE cites the recent open letter to President Mills dated March 27 2012, and penned by National Chairman of the NPP, Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, as well as other remarks by leading members of the opposition party as basis of their claims.
