Actors & Actresses We Love Even Though They Can’t Act…Name Yours

Vicky Zugah At Ghana Movie Awards Nominees Party

GhanaCelebrities.Com loves African movies especially the made in Ghana ones…We promote and bring to you most of the great movies which come out of the continent.
Our love for movies extend to those great Actors and Actress, but not every actor or actress we see has the ability or talent to mount stages with likes of Genevieve Nnaji ( You should by now know why I am mentioning Gen).
Most of the people who call themselves Actors or Actresses on our screens just look pretty and recite lines…Some of them even sound like they are  loudly reading newspapers in the dark…I mean struggling to read chinese newspaper in the dark…
Despite their no-acting skill or talent, we buy their movies, cheer them up and still support them…After all they are the only ones we got right? (Thought I believe some acting lessons would be great for some of them, we will still love them and watch their movies if they do not…LOL),
The handsome, pretty and sexy ones have blinded us with their appearances to the extent that, we even forget they can’t act…
Which Actor or Actress do you love even though he/she can’t act?

  1. Yvonne Okoro, she can’t act. she keeps shouting and exaggerating but for someone reason a lot of people like her lol

  2. Hahaha, Chris, I think if you want a list, then we should rather be asking for actors who CAN actually act. Cos the default is that our actors CANT act, but we love them all. The most obvious one is Juliet Ibrahim. She’s a crappy actress, but a great celebrity and public figure. Aside her personality that gets her attention, she’s also brought up a number of laudable initiatives. That said, we shd also mention that she’s improved her acting quite a lot-from what we saw in Crime to Christ to her perfomance in 4play. You see marked progress.
The rest are generally the same. Poor actors (maybe a little better when it comes to acting) but they’ve not showed any progress at all. Nadia, Jackie, Yvonne Nelson, Van Vicker and even Majid are the worst culprits. Actors who dont challenge themselves….taking up the same lazy roles over and over again. Well, we still love them though cos they are all we’ve got. The new kids on the block are rather showing great potential. Joselyn, Roselyn, Ashorkor, John Dumelo, Prince David, etc. These guys are takjing up different and challenging roles and doing alright……………..

    • @Fii, ghanians in general like overdoing the american accent. Why is this? Do they think that it makes them more credible? I don’t get it… SMH. I didn’t get the memo that said to be cool us africans must emulate americans. I just need to be clear coz I’m confused… SMH

    • I don’t understand why everyone’s bashing Juliet Ibrahim. She’s beautiful, even more beautiful than Nadia Buari. Yvonne Okoro isn’t that bad either. I prefer her to the likes of Nikki Samonas. Infact in comparison to Yvonne Nelson she’s more believable. Yvonne Nelson always comes across as trying too hard. Though they’re all such gorgeous ladies.

        • @Miyagi, sorry but who are you referring to? Juliet? Gosh, I think she’s pretty. She looks like a rwandese. Her body is the typical rwandese body shape. Small waist and curvy hips.

          • @Rwandese Princess,Okay I agree with you that she got a nice body but when it comes to her face it’s a no no with all the make up and I don’t think I would like to see her without make up as well cause I would probably run away

          • @Miyagi, lol! Ok I don’t think I’ve ever seen her without makeup. But your most welcome to Rwanda to see de beaute naturelle.  Since you agree she has a nice body then Rwanda is the place for you. Welcome sir

          • @Rwandese Princess, are we talkin Rwanda???? pls don’t let us go der….Juliet doesn’t resemble u guys at all.

  3. plsss…..give us a break….do u know Yvonne Okoro @ all…..or u just mentioned the name for fun…we talking of poor actresses and u r mentioning de vewi opposite….

  4. LOL… to some of the comments above. To me I think the main reason there are so many bad acting is that these people are acting in a second language and this way making it hard for them to really express and show emotions and feelings! With out it hun, you’re faking!
Van Vicker is funny when he’s all trying so hard to act like “Black american” …
    Yvonne N. … GH’s very own Barbie 🙂 …
The list goes on… but we still spend time to watch the movies, online!

  12. its all about ghanaian actors and actresses, what happens sisters and brothers in nigeria, ini edo is fake, she struggles esp. when its not a crying scene, bcs all she know how to do is cry, Omotola, Rita domnic and my dear uche jumbo and my own wild lady tonto, but we all love them for one or two reasons.stephane okere and Genevieve, were born to act.

    • @Eve, honey I think you’re dyslexic. The subject of this was asking about GHANA celebrities. Not 9ja celebs. Gh actors aint got nothing on Nigerian actors. Plain and simple. They were the reason why people in other parts of africa knew about african movies. Not in a bad way but if they didn’t accomodate any gh actors in their films no one would have known about y’all in the first place! NOLLYWOOD for life!

  14. the last time i check, the movie beyonce was one of the most popular movie ever in Africa. that was a ghanaian movie dear. nadia, jackie and van vicker got their popularity from that movie and not from any nigerian movie. why do you think the nigeria producers came for them in the first place? because they realized people liked them, so they decided to make money of them. its as simple as that. those in the carribean knew of van vicker, nadia buari and jackie before they even starred in any nigerian movie.

  16. How can we be debating about actors and actresses who knows how to act or not when we africans dont even know what good acting is. we have allowed nigerians set the starndard of what good acting is when clearly majority of them cannot act. Good acting is not makiing too much facial expression and shouting on top of your voices like nigerians do. Gosh i cant even watch a nigerian movie with my volume all the up. My African American friend who has taking interest in african movie said the same too. We shout too much in our movies and that is bad acting too. African actors seem to overact too whch is also bad acting especially the nigerians. Thank God for LifetIme Movie Channel here in the US, i can enjoy quiet yet believable acting. and Thank God for directors like Shirley Frimpong Manso and Leila Djansi, and Nigerian director Kunle Afolayan, i can now enjoy good african movies. these directors bring out the best in their actors and actresses.

  17. John Dumelo and yvonne okoro . They are sometimes very inattentive and unserious and absent minded. Look at the way mercy johnson is always inside her acting ,Jackie appaiah as well. But we love them.
