If you are addicted to Facebook and have no other life or means to make real friends, I am sure you will be paying…
It does not seem much but then I can’t just understand why I will be willing to pay $1 to Facebook so that I can send a message to a person who has not ‘friended’ me?
Facebook plans to charge a small fee of $1 from users who sends a message to the inbox of a user who has not befriended them on Facebook.
What is currently happening is that, if you send a message to a non-friend, the message ends up in the person’s spam folder. But for the $1 fee, you will be able to send a message to a non-friend and the message will go directly to the person’s main inbox.
Facebook made this known in a blog post….
“Today we’re starting a small experiment to test the usefulness of economic signals to determine relevance….This test will give a small number of people the option to pay to have a message routed to the Inbox rather than the Other folder of a recipient that they are not connected with.”
