Today is December 24: Do You Remember Kaakyire Kwame Appiah’s 24 December Song?

Kaakyire Kwame Appiah

Today is December 24, a day that most people make the long journey back to their various villages in Ghana to celebrate Christmas Day with family and friends.

Years back Kaakyire Kwame Appiah recorded a song about that day titled ‘24’. The song became [still is to some people] one of the famous Christmas tunes of all time in Ghana.

The song brings back memories. As you journey back to their villages, enjoy the song below. LOL

  2. IN MY OPINION, THE BEST PLACE TO CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS IS GH. IT IS ALWAYS A TIME WHERE CHICKEN, GOAT, SHEEP PLAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE. A TIME OF SHARING WITH FRIENDS, NEIGHBOURS AND EVEN PEOPLE ARE AT LOGGERHEADS WITH EACH OTHER. WHEN I COMPARE CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION IN GH TO THE SO CALLED “WESTERN WORLD” I WILL CHOOSE MY GH, CUS IT’S A “BORING CHRISTMAS” IN ABROAD WHERE ALL THEY DO IS SIT HOME AND DRINK COFFEE, COFFEE COFFEE. AHHHH!!!!! THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME

  3. Yep i remember this song very well, makes me miss ghana badly, but how can one go when the klepto party known as ndc has taken over the country, i believe this christmas is going to be a bummer for a lot of ghanaians, most are either disappointed or upset.
