REJECTED OR DUMPED: Now It Is Time For Me To Go Back To The One I Don’t Love

Black woman

Let’s face it. We have all been one way or the other been rejected by someone we love or had a crush on.  Whether it is a boy/girlfriend relationship or life partnership, what do you do when you are rejected by someone you love?

Most women or men after having been dumped or rejected by someone they really admired or desired, quickly out of impulse go in for the next best in line.

I had a friend who hated this guy so much that she didn’t even wanted to be seen talking to this guy.  For years, she had just refused to even listen to what this guy had to say.  And this guy was a very attractive, intelligent and a successful person, yet my friend wanted nothing to do him.

She was in love and desired someone who didn’t even know she existed.  She did everything in her power to create attention and to draw this guy’s mind to her, but he didn’t even recognize her.

Finally, he heard that the guy got married.  Disappointed and broken-hearted, my friend began to show interest in the other guy.  The same guy she has rejected for close to over two years. It was obvious that she didn’t like this guy let alone to love him.

She showed interest only to make up for what she lost.  Unfortunately, the poor guy was head over hills in love with her.  It is so unfair to this guy and very selfish on my friend’s part.

You hold on to someone you don’t love only to prove a point to someone you love who didn’t reciprocate. Sadly, this type of behavior is more rampant than we know.

According to researchers at psychologytoday.com, this type of strategy often backfires.  The problem is that when one partner is more attractive or sexually motivated than another, ostensibly the relationship becomes unstable.  And the woman or man who makes such a choice is hedging her bets, and basing her choice on fear, not love.

If someone rejects your love proposal for years and suddenly comes back to loving you, please take the time to question and find out why, so that you don’t become an object to be used for someone’s game of revenge.  Have any of you ever made such a decision before?
