Now Who Is The False Prophet? Rev. Owusu-Bempah Says Bishop Agyin-Asare Is Not From God & Duncan-Williams Just Wants To ‘Take My Glory’

Duncan, Bempah and Agyin

The controversy surrounding Rev. Owusu-Bempah’s prophecy concerning the untimely death of President Mahama if nothing is done to curtail the situation has taken a whole newer dimension, as the reverend minister has blatantly blamed Archbishop Duncan- Williams and Bishop Agyin-Asare for handling his massage “immaturely”.

He alleges that the Archbishop’s defensive posture together with that of Bishop Agyin-Asare’s over his prophesy, could be borne out of a desperate attempt by the two to take away his spiritual shine or in other words his “glory”.

Though he admitted that the General Overseer of the Action Faith Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, is a veteran when it comes to the Christian faith, he failed not to remind him that the feat he has achieved today came with ups and downs including stepping on other people’s toes.

He out-rightly ruled out Bishop Agyin-Asare as a true man of God and made it clear that he wasn’t from God.

“I have prayed and if he(Agyin- Asare) wants to believe it, it is up to him. I am saying this because I don’t believe him. Agyin-Asare, I don’t believe he is a pastor…he can believe and delude himself as a man of God, but I don’t believe he is one…if he believes in the miracles he does and his people believe in him, my church members also accord me with that same respect,” he said.

He argued that ever since he made the public declaration and encountered sharp responses from people who disagreed with him, elderly men of God with the exception of Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams have invited him to their various homes and held a hearty chat with him.

He disclosed that he expected Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams to have known and done same since he is considered as a spiritual father to many.

Rev. Owusu-Bempah lamented on Okay FM’s Ade Akyen Abia programme that his heart bled when he got to know that “a man who laid hands on him” could walk to the pulpit and look down upon him just because he(Duncan Williams) does not believe in a prophesy.

According to him, he felt disrespected by the approach of the Archbishop but would allow the past to sway him from according him with the maximum respect he deserves.

“I wanted Pastor Eastwood Anaba to ordain me but Archbishop(Duncan- Williams) used forceful means to ordain me. If after laying hands on me you (Duncan-Williams) come out to ask questions such as ‘who laid hands on me and stuff’, then I want to tell you that it is you. Is he trying to tell me that he didn’t see me when he was laying hands on me?” he asked.

“I believe the archbishop is a man of God but if he does not believe I am from God, I trust he does…again if he doesn’t respect my ministry, I respect his,” he said.

  1. well they all real in sight of God… men of God ease up on the argument and intercede for the president. Now is the time for all God ministers to come together to fast and pray for our president. This insults and response wont save his life rather than prayers.

  2. Prophet Owusu Bempah IS NOT A FALSE PROPHET so lets be careful of our pronouncements or else we’ll be fighting God Himself. God is SOVEREIGN and He chooses to use whatever vessel He pleases to do His work. There are young prophets and and there are more senior or old prophets..scripturally God uses all of them AT HIS WILL AND NO ONE CAN QUESTION HIM – GOD. Further, the office of the prophet is different from that of the pastor and for that matter a prophet must not necessarily be pastorally ethical, he has to be prophetically ethical, and that is HE HAS TO BE BOLD AND SPEAK THE WORD AS GOD GIVES HIM WITHOUT FEAR OR FAVOUR ELSE DOOM AWAITS HE HIMSELF THE PROPHET so we should not always expect to understand the prophetic, it sometimes “does not make sense” but ours is to obey God’s voice or calamity awaits us. PROPHET OWUSU BEMPAH IS NOT A FALSE PROPHET.

  3. What stops those condemning this Pastor from calling him and discussing as to how they can stop this tragedy.Atleast,he is the same person who prophesied the death of the two former leaders of our dear nation(Prof. E. A Mills and Alhaji A. Mahama).I will like to urge all GC readers to remember our president in our prayers everyday because we cant let this calamity happen to our motherland.Remember”The effective fervent prayers of the riteous availeth much”The Holy Bible.God Bless our homeland Ghana.
