I know it and I get it…Celebrity life is messy with several of our celebrities doing a lot of shocking things behind the curtain. Drug usage among African celebrities is increasing at an alarming rate and it is good to know that fans care enough to throw in certain advices once a while.
However, it seems to me Africa is the only place people do not die naturally, especially if the person is young. We are quick to always evoke superstition and when the person is a celebrity, we quickly rush out for drugs as being the cause.
After Nigerian pop singer and big brother housemate-Goldie Harvey’s shocking death, many online and off-line tongues have starting rolling in with unfortunate allegations that she was somehow killed by drugs. Her wild showbiz personality and sudden death which followed her big Grammy party with the stars in the United States can drive the mind to uncomfortable territories but please…

This is not the time to point dirty fingers at the dead. Even if nothing at all, can’t we allow the family to mourn for some few days and then after that start with our wild allegations? This is not the time to speculate…
No one is suggesting that Goldie was a saint but for the sake of decency, let’s accord the bereft family some little respect here.
It is bad enough to lose a love one…Being insensitive is not the way forward. If you have nothing good to say, a simple R.I.P will do!

Andrew is reported to have asked Goldie’s sweetheart from the Big Brother Stargame house, Prezzo to stay away. He him the message “Prezzo, please leave our family to grieve in peace. You have caused enough hurt and pain”.
Prezzo should remember he was just a ‘media boyfriend’, a cobweb put together by a reality TV show organizers to hype their show and make some money. This is real death we are having here and the family should be respected. He should simple stay away from this and stop commenting on her death or granting interviews.

Anyone remember when Serena Williams the tennis player had to be rushed to the hospital after a long flight from NY to LA? It was blood clot in her leg from sitting so long on a plane, this nearly killed her, ok. All she had to do was stretch out b4 flight, she admitted it. Goldie may have died from blood clot from flying from Naija to LA in such a short span of time. It is my belief unless autopsy prooves otherwise STOP RUNNING A GOOD NAME

@mother,Exactly,from new reports she died from a Pulmonary Embolism (Blood clot moving to lungs usually from legs and cutting off oxygenated supply of blood to heart)-which is can occur from long hours of sitting or non movement especially during long hours of flight when you have a predisposal to blood clots. It is may have been possible that if it had occurred while she was in the US and they had rushed her to the ER or called 911,they MAY have been able to save her ;reports say she was dead on arrival. Only in Africa do people not die of natural causes as this or in the case of celebrities they point to drugs. Granted some celebs OD and die ,not every celebrity dies because of that,everybody dies in the end anyway,hers is sad because she was young,it is sudden and she was so full of life. So people should stop spreading rumors and wait for the coroners report or autopsy…geez!!!
