Ayew Brothers And Father

According to reports, the Ayew brothers (Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew), sons of Ghanaian football maestro, Abedi Ayew Pele have asked the Ghana Football Association(GFA) to excuse them from future call-up into the team.

Sports journalist, Dan Kwaku Yeboah reported that, the brothers turned in their temporarily resignation letter to the GFA on Tuesday.

The two were left out in the Black Stars squad for the just ended Africa Cup of Nation in South Africa.

He said; “It is very true the Ayew brothers have quit the Black Stars, to me I am very sad,” he said.

According to him, Andre and Jordan Ayew have officially submitted their resignation letter to the Ghana Football Association.

“They(Dede and Jordan) today officially told the GFA about their resignation from the team,” he told Peace FM.

According to Kwaku Yeboah, Jordan Ayew gave reasons that he thought the Ghana Football Association think he is not matured, experience and good enough to play for the senior national team so want to seek permission from the GFA to take a break and concentrate more on his club football to build up.

On the other hand, Andre Ayew was much disappointed for his elimination from the team that played in the AFCON tournament in South Africa.

According to Andre, psychologically he needs to take a break from the team.

Andre Ayew disclosed after his exclusion from the squad that he was shocked to have been left out of the Black Stars for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

The news came as a big disappointment to him since he was committed to make it to South Africa, despite his hamstring injury.

“It was shocking. The coach based on the fact that he only wanted players [who are 100%], which is surprising because apparently there are a lot of casualties there,” Ayew revealed.

“I’m not angry, I’m just disappointed. It made me know some people in the staff and federation.”

“Ghana is a big nation. There are things happening that are not normal, Kevin-Prince Boateng issue shows that there are reasons,” Ayew added.

On his part, Jordan Ayew attacked the GFA for his exclusion.

The 20-year-old said there was more to his dropping from the Black Stars squad other than footballing reasons as stated by Kwesi Appiah.

“It’s not so bad not to be taken with Ghana squad (for the Africa Cup of Nations). This is Africa you know,” Ayew told French newspaper L’Equipe.

“I do not want to go into details, but if Kevin-Prince Boateng left the team, it is not for nothing.

“Many things happen with the Federation of Ghana. I cannot tell you … There are things that are not normal,” he concluded.

The Ghana Football Association is yet to come out with a statement to confirmed the Ayew brothers resignation.
Basis For Ayew Brothers AFCON Exclusion

Andre Ayew was dropped from the Ghana squad for the 2013 African Cup of Nations with just ten days to the start of the competition.

Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah confirmed his decision in an official statement, from the team’s camp base in Abu Dhabi.

Andre, who was receiving treatment for a leg injury had planned to arrive on Tuesday, a day before CAF’s Wednesday deadline for the submission of the final squad, but the Olympique Marseille attacker was left out of the squad after failing to report to camp as scheduled.

“I have decided to exclude midfielder Andre Ayew from the Ghana squad for the 2013 African Cup of Nations,” the Ghana coach said in a signed statement.

“Following Andre’s inability to join the Black Stars squad by Monday morning for Ghana’s team doctors to assess the extent of his injury and fitness for the tournament, I have decided to work only with the players currently in camp.

“All the players were given the deadline of Saturday to report to camp in Abu Dhabi unfortunately Andre did not turn up despite being released by his club and air tickets provided by the GFA for him to travel from France to beat the deadline.

“As he did not turn up by Saturday night, I ordered for him to be contacted over his absence but he said he could not depart from France because he was seeing his doctors,”
Coach Kwesi Appiah said in his statement prior to the AFCON 2013 tournament.

However, for Jordan Ayew,Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah hailed the qualities of the Marseille player but insisted he dropped him from his squad for the Nations Cup purely for footballing reasons.

He Stated: “Jordan is a good player and has many years ahead of him…
I don’t think it will be advisable to pinpoint reasons why I dropped him. Ghana has a pool of talents.

“There are thousands of them especially in the local league. If he’s in not in now, I have selected the players I believe can deliver for the nation.

“But it doesn’t mean he will not be part of the national team. I have given many players the chance to play and I settled on these one”.

  3. This yius contribute alot to our striking force and midfields,D.ayew can take down 3 or 4 defender’s at a time this are type of players we need in our dear team,

The coach is using sentiment to select some unqualified players who dont deserved to be in the team…
If the coach got beef with their father he dont have to extend it to their children ,

Believe it or not we need D.AYAW,PRINCE BOATENG ,ESSIEN,SULLY MUNTARI,SAMUEL INKOM …

If sentiment is used to select players then our team will fall.

They have to put any anger in their heart aside and stop this childish resignation ,this the time they have to prove they love their country.
You and i knows that they were dealt with badly but two wrongs does not make any thing right.

We need essien, muntari, the ayews,k.p boateng, inkom in our world cup squad they can help make Ghana proud.

I personally don’t agree with their resignation matters must be settled or gfa must be dissolved PERIOD

    • @27cдгibre(Ф_ф), here is the real reason why they withdraw RE: WITHDRAWAL OF SERVICES FOR THE SENIOR NATIONAL TEAM (BLACK STARS) TEMPORARILY

It is with profound regret that I write to communicate to you my decision to withdraw my services for the national team temporarily.

My decision to withdraw my services from the national team results from a number of issues or matters that have occurred quite recently, especially with regard to my relationship with the management team of the senior national team, the Black Stars.

These matters have so affected me emotionally and psychologically such that I am unable presently to offer the best of my services to my dear nation.

In the meantime I take this opportunity to congratulate my colleagues in the national team for their performance in the just ended AFCON competition.

Although we did not win the cup I take the view that their performance is commendable since the team maintained the same standard of performance by way of position whereas others like the Zambian national team bowed out in the preliminary stages of the competition.

I assure my colleagues in the national team and my fans that my decision is only to enable me pull myself together and motivate myself (in the circumstances in which I currently find myself) in order that I would return with a renewed fervor to assist my colleagues carry the cause of the national team to higher levels.

My decision is not novel. Some of my colleagues who have previously taken such decisions have returned more strongly and with vigour to serve the nation.

Finally, I hereby affirm my avowed love, devotion and commitment to my beloved country the Republic of Ghana whose national teams I have pledged to always faithfully and dutifully serve to the best of my ability.

      Which has been leaked

RE: TEMPORARY RESIGNATION FROM INTERNATIONAL SOCCER

I write to formally communicate to you my decision to withdraw my services temporarily from the senior national team, the Black Stars.

The reasons for my decision, although personal, I believe, would eventually inure to the benefit of the Black Stars, the reason being that in this period of my temporary absence I intend not only to work hard in my club as a young player so I can obtain the quality, experience and stature necessary for a call up to play in the national team, but also ensure that my membership of the national team when I soon come out of my temporary resignation endures in a more secure manner so as to avoid the situation where I am unsure as to when my services are required for the national team.

The point I have just made is vindicated by the fact that although on every occasion that I have had the opportunity to play for my nation I have played to the best of my ability and served my nation with commitment, it appears that my efforts have not impressed the management team of the senior national team.

    • @gaga, GFA did not do anything physically even though they are the invincible enemy who take bribes to make every move.
I will say the Ghanaian coach is the main problem because he akwasi appiah have a long time issues with their father who happens to be a Ghanaian and African legend,so due to the problems with their father he axed Dede ayew from the team ,already he has given flimsy excuses to exclude Jordan ayew from the squad…

Generally GFA PLAYED PART IN IT PARTIALLY IT A LONG STORY MY SISTER ….

Believe it or not gfa is the INVISIBLE ENEMY

  4. the GFA is made up of people who inspite of the gargantuan salary and moni dey make from the FA, dey still wanna milk the little from the players as well……

i always said that Kevins decision to stay off the team was not as we saw it…we chastised him so much without finding out why he will make such a decision…can we compare Ghana to Germany??? so if a player shuns Germany and decides to play for Ghana and later decides to retire after a few games, wouldn’t any sensible mind try to find out why, instead of saying that he used the Black Stars to boost or resurrect his club football.. it doesn’t make any sense.

the real reason why he might want to stay off is cos he was being frustrated…he plays a game and FA officials will be on radio saying his performance has dropped, meanwhile we hail old men like John Mensah and John Paintsil.

why couldn’t the FA send a Ghana Medical team member to France to assess Dede’s injury?? how much would it have cost?? someone has a hamstring injury and u tell him to fly 8-10 hours to Abu-Dhabi for medics to assess him, is this logical??? wht happens if he develops a complication due to immobility issues with flying?? simple common sense should tell u that it is in the right direction for his Doctors in France to assess him before he flies down.

You drop Jordan at a time when he has been voted Marseille player of the month in the French league..but u carry dese guys who play for useless division two teams in non-recognised footballing countries like Turkey,United Arab Emirates,Greece, etc….smh
The FA is frustrating some of these established “Foreign”, Ghana players because they wont give them a dime out of their moni, that is the problem….don’t we know of the moni and gifts FA members receive from people like Paintsil,Agyemang Badu,John Mensah and the rest…..

the Ayews should rest, the FA should take the blame cos they are a bunch of useless, selfish ppl.
