New Music Video: ‘Too Much’ By Kaaki

Kaaki-Too Much

I cannot remember the last time I saw such an excellent music video for a Ghanaian song. It has recently been tacky concepts, unnecessary discothèque lights killing your eyes and bad pictures.

Clearly, Kaaki has raised the bar with her video for ‘Too Much’ and I hope other artistes will begin to put efforts into their videos too.

It has always been hard for me to watch Ghanaian music videos to the end (I force myself to do it because I need to write on them). But this is not the case for Kaaki’s video, I have already watched it three times! 🙂

I can’t believe the video was directed by Ghanaian video director, George “Gyo” Gyimah of Phamous Philms whose standard we’ve seen fall drastically with time.

What do you think?

  1. Nice Video. I really admire Kaakie & think she’s one of the most hardworking musicians & she’s definitely doing big things for dancehall music in Gh. I read on peacefm’s website that her pastors are complaining about her doing ‘secular’ music & that she may be considering leaving that terrain? I wonder how true that is but I wish her well whatever she decides to do.

  3. OP, u’ve definitely not been watching gh videos then. Ask Pascal Aka and Nana Kofi Asihene for their clips and you’ll know better. As an entertainment blogger, you are failing in this aspect.

  4. Loved the song but the concept of the video makes no sense.U could have promoted how women could be bosses plus clas.sy without showing no skin.what message did u send in this video? And aside that ur fashion sense is trashy.LOL @ how u smeared soo much oil/nkuto on ur skin to make it shiny.

    • @Adjoa Nbaaso), Come on girl, The video sends the exact message in the song. Listen and watch again; She says she’s too much which is a term you can use to describe boldness, classiness and sexiness. In the video, she seemed very comfortable in her body and she had the sex appeal which indeed describes why she sings she’s too much……Kudos to her!
