Ghanaians demostrate in London

Hundreds of Ghanaians living in London took to the streets of London yesterday (12th April, 2013) to demonstrate against the current economic, social and political situation in Ghana.

They described the current economic hardship in Ghana and the delay in the election petition filed by some leading members of the NPP as unbearable.

The UK based Ghanaians expressed their frustrations with President John Mahama for his lack of actions over the recent strikes by public officials in the country.

The demonstration took place in front of the English prime ministers residence at Downing street and Vox Africa’s Jones Awuah and the crew were on hand to bring us the proceedings.

  4. These people are the Concerned Ghanaians against Electoral Fraud (COGEF). The demonstrators presented copies of petitions to the Ghana High Commission in London at 13 Belgrave Square all the way to No 10 Downing St. cause they want the international community to “support the outcome that produces justice and ultimately lasting peace remember 50 years ago there was a similar demonstration at the Ghana High Commission calling for “free elections” against Nkrumah

There is even rumours going around that Dr. Asemfoforo Calls on Mahama to Come Clean on Mills’ Death

  5. If these Ghanaian “citizens” really want to do something about the current government in Ghana, they should go to Ghana and demonstrate there. I find their demonstration very hypocritical because most of these people don’t care about Ghana, as a matter of fact most Ghanaians that travel abroad don’t care about  Ghana, and I have my reasons for that. I’m wondering what do they expect the prime minister to do about the current situation in Ghana-they don’t rule over us anymore people.

  10. Wow the level of ignorance is too much on here today wow it saddens me. I think some people need to be educated. GC help them enlighten them so they will know Ghana is not ruled by just Ghanaian government that’s why we have the United Nations n if the people do not inform the world of their problems, they will not be helped. And for those insulting, your insults highlights who u r.
