TIME Magazine Names 100 Most Influential People In The World & Omotola, Beyonce, Mario Balotelli, Obama & Others Are In There

TIME has published its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world, from artists and leaders to pioneers, titans and icons…

And notably in the list are; Nigeria’s Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Kate Middleton, Barrack Obama and AC Milan football star-Mario Balotelli.

I guess Mario ‘Barwuah’ Balotelli is representing Ghana in there…LOL

This is what former Italy star Zola who manages England’s Watford F.C. had to say about ‘Barwuah’ Balotelli…

Mario has all the qualities to be a top player: power and athleticism, alongside a good understanding of the game — all positive.

I worked with Mario for a short period with Italy’s under-21 side. I liked him straightaway. I liked the way he handled himself and his composure and calmness in situations. Mario could shrug off things happening around him. Only the big players have that calm.

Mario can play the big games and handle the crucial moments, but he needs to keep control. That is vital for him.

From afar, people may think he’s a madman, but he isn’t. Mario is a lovely guy, very humble and very funny. I can assure people he has always been a pleasure to deal with. He has returned to Italy from England as the main man with lots of attention. Now he has to ensure he keeps control and keeps focus. Mario loves the pressure, but to succeed, it is about finding balance.

  5. hey by 2035 Chris could get mentioned 🙂 too!
As for this Time magazine, only God knows why thi lie to people about Africa and its potential.
Omotolla is not enough, how come they did not mention the billionaire in South Africa who is giving away a significant % of his wealth?

  6. congratulations Omotola, but i dont understand why nigerians always feel like they have to somehow  prove themselves worthy anytime they are on ghanaian sites. the magazine reported on Nollywood and tag omotola as the queen of nollywood that why her name was mentioned. there is no need to brag. just congratulate her and lets move on African People. we are not competeing among ourselves. you have your country and we have ours. Ghana has its strengths and weaknesses same way nigeri has its strengths and weaknesses.Nigerians always complain about how ghanaians hate them but guess what while ghanaians are so much concerned about ways to improve our country, their website nairaland is busy discussing us 3 times this week alone, why? using all kinds of derogatory words to describe us. why? ghana and nigeria may hve this type of tension going on but am yet to see a ghanaian website which spends time discussing nigerians and insulting nigerians . but nigerians do just for the fun of it to make themselves feel good.

  8. @Lovia, tryin nt to get annoyed by ur comment and ignore bt i culdn’t,i really dnt knw where u get ur figures ‘naija talks bout ghanaians 3times more on their blogs’ ……….chick i can assure u naija do nt talk or giv a heck wat u do or feel,i admit dat as a nation we haven’t gotten to half our potential due to a lot problems, preventin us frm ‘talkin 3times about ghana’…d most annoying part of dis is d fact dat u guys feel u can compete wt naija on everytin by comparin yourselves wt us and feelin we do d same guys i can assure u we dnt,we do compare ourselves wt some country at times,e.g we compare d level of development of our movies frm only drama to action, horror, thrillers like d USA,and our airport, schools are compared to SA unfortunately. Maybe i am nt stayin in d naija u knw,bt d naija i liv in ryt nw does nt talk bout ghana 3 times more lol.
