The AID project, a flagship project of Ama Ampomah Mensa, 1st Runner-Up, Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2012, is to be launched in Accra on Saturday 4th May at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel.
The AID Project is an integrated programme designed to provide research, create awareness, raise funds and advocate for the inclusion of people living with Intellectual Disability & Autism into mainstream society.
The alarming trend of utter neglect and policy support inadequacies towards persons living with disabilities and the urgent need of immediate intervention to save a dying mass is what has influenced the decision of Ama to embark on this noble project of national importance.
The launching of the project is being done under the theme, “Building Acceptance for an Inclusive Society with Persons Living with Autism and Intellectual Disability”, the project will among others focus to create a platform that will ensure that every individual diagnosed with Autism & Intellectual Disability can have access to the right education.
