FOR THOSE WHO CARE: Aduana Stars Chief Manu Launches Campaign Against Kevin Prince Boateng Returning to Black Stars

Kevin Prince Boateng

The controversies surrounding Kevin Prince Boateng and Ghanaian football are numerous and well known. We know that he made his intentions of returning to the black stars known recently when the Ayew brothers decided to return to play for the national team after leaving.

Many soccer fans are disgruntled and angry at the disrespect international players think they can show to the national team whenever they feel like.

Kevin Prince Boateng went on international retirement but returned in August and has since not played for the  Black Stars due to excuses he keeps making when called upon.

He missed the Zambian game because he insisted the pitch was not good enough for him to play on. He also missed the Egyptian game over a supposed injury.

Well, now that Ghana is clearly on its way to the world cup, football enthusiasts believe Kevin Prince Boateng is set to come into the camp and join in the shine and glory he failed to help the country achieve.

Chief Manu, board member of Aduana Stars has vowed he will not remain quiet and allow this to happen so he is rallying with other football strong hands to resist Kevin Prince Boateng’s return to play for the black stars.

He is reported to have said; “If Coach Kwasi Appiah invites Kevin Prince Boateng I will stage one month demonstration in this country with others who will disagree with his invitation,” .

An angry Manu told Kumasi-based Sikka FM “Before Ghana went to the World Cup for the first time in 2006 some of us almost went to prison when we wanted the FA to be independent to be able to take decisions on its own to help develop football in the country.

That was the extent we went. What we have put in to get Ghana football to this level, not even ministers of State or politicians can break us down. Least of all a mere player who chooses when and where to play and at what time he wants to play. I will not sit down for this to happen.”
