Weekly Discussion, Let’s Get Talking: Watching An African Movies Is A Complete WASTE Of Your Precious Time

Message

I am yet to find a person who does not agree with the above statement I saw on my friend who lives in Canada’s Facebook wall this morning…

For the many Ghanaians living abroad, our desire to keep in touch with things back home and feel part of the bigger Ghanaian picture gives us little room of choice when it comes to things like Ghanaian movies.

Interestingly, most of us do not live far from Big Cinemas showing 3D and well put together western movies, yet we go chasing our local ones in spite of the countless flaws—and these movies are mostly waste of time.

We all know majority of these African movies are not worth wasting a minute on. Some of us have complained for years and it seems like, the more you complain, the worse it becomes.

And without any other option, we still patronize them—giving those involved the cash and no sense to do otherwise.

Will African movies ever upgrade? Will the actors and actresses get out of the false hype, delusion and take some classes to find the needed skills?

How did you feel about the most recent African movie you watched? Share with us!

  1. It is not only a waste of time, it is also a waste of your little money. Before you even start the movie, you know of how it will end.

And if you decide to ignore what you know to just watch it, the bad acting, screaming and others will only upset you.

I couldn’t even finish watching the last African movie I tried to watch, I just stopped it and went to sleep
