Popular Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson was announced as a ‘Brand Ambassador’ for the prestigious Africa Movie Academy Awards today at an event in Lagos, Nigeria, which was attended by several of African Film Industry stakeholders—including the CEO and founder of the Africa Movie Academy Awards Peace Anyiam-Osigwe.

This is the first time in the history of the award’s scheme that a ‘Brand Ambassador’ has been chosen to help in solidifying the image of the award, which recognizes unique talents on the African continent.

Lydia Forson, who has on one occasion won the AMAA’s Best Actress Award will among other things represent AMAA on major platforms such as international film festivals and conferences…
