Becca’s Girl Talk Concert

It was all Girl Power last night as beautiful ladies from all parts of the country converged at the National Theater for the much buzzed about Becca’s Girls Talk concert.

The very successfully show saw surprise appearances by Van Vicker, Kwesi Oteng, Lil Win, King Ayisoba, Trigmatic, Kwaw Kesse, and singer Kesse. The star studded event also saw celebrities Martha Nkrumah, Nana Ama McBrown, Sandra Ankobiah and Mzbel on their feet dancing and having a jolly good time.

The show which was billed to start at 7pm started rather late with the opening act performing at around 9pm. This however did not stop the audience from having a good time as they were various interesting and funny moments.

Becca who has grown so much over the years as a songstress and a performer thrilled the audience with hit songs like ‘You lied to me’,‘Daa keda keda’ and ‘African Woman’.

The theme of the concert was ‘women empowerment’ and with the presence of notable women in politics like the MP for Dome Kwabenya –Adjoa Sarfo Katanka and also an encouraging  speech by the deputy of Tourism- Ms Abla Dzifa Gomashie, I am sure the message was driven home sound and clear.

One very interesting moment of the concert was the demonstration of the use of female condoms by a representative from the Ghana Aids Commission. She had the crowd roaring with laughter with her very graphic description of the use of the female condom. It was also a good idea that all the members of the audience were given free condoms to practice what they had just been taught.

Nana Ama Mcbrown surprised the audience with her captivating performance of ‘Khona’. Her dance moves were so perfect that for once a lot of people forgot she was just an actress and not a dancer. She was able to get the total attention of the audience as she danced and sang perfectly to the tunes of the song. Personally I think she makes a very good performer and she should look into getting in the music industry.

Lil Win was also another crowd favorite, as he got everyone rolling on the floor with laughter with his funny jokes. The audience just loved him and it didn’t help that his dance moves were so unique and hilarious.

The audience was left crying for more as Becca announced the show had come to an end. Like Oliver Twist, they simply couldn’t get enough and wanted to hear more of Becca’s sultry voice…

  1. Aww I’m glad it went well; such a success. No major hitches or whatsoever has occurred since Becca started doing this concert. But come 2 think of it Ghanaian event organizers r becoming habitual late starters of event, it is very bad.
