How Was Your First New Year Weekend? I Nearly Got Laid…

black-woman-with-packed-bag

My New Year resolution is to cut down my list of things I need to see in a man before considering to be with him and also, to have casual flings if they are worth it—since I am still single.

Most of the guys who fancy me and those I fancy sent Happy New Year text messages, serving as the right bait for me to hit back…And I did just that with one.

So we arranged a Saturday Night movie at the Cinema and a Dinner afterwards. But the heavy rains out here on Saturday meant that outing was out of the question so I offered to make us dinner at home and he offered to buy a DVD for us to watch together.

As mentioned above, I was looking forward to making things happen this Saturday. After dinner and a bottle of wine while watching Denzel Washington’s Safe House, things got a little freaky and my date got his fingers at places—I surely did too.

But my would be adventure and New Year joy with the man I have fancied for years (though he has a girlfriend) was cut short when my cousin and her two friends who claimed to have been in the area to drop a friend kept knocking at my door.

Furiously, I asked; why didn’t you call me before coming without giving attention to her friends. She sort of felt embarrassed so I asked them all to come in, and another bottle of wine was opened.

It was a good night for all of us but if they did not come, I would have probably gone to Heaven and back…

My Sunday was a quiet one. I did the usual, early morning cleaning and then went to Church. After church, I did some laundry and drove to my mother’s house to see my Auntie who is visiting from Amsterdam.

That was my weekend in the nutshell, how was yours? What did you do? Share with us!
