Prayer Alone Won’t Take Ghana Anywhere Says Kwesi Pratt

Driving In Ghana (2)
Ghana

Believe me or not, there are certain people in Ghana who refuse to go to the hospital when sick, rather they run to the church. Similarly, there are people who expect to be fed the way the Israelis were fed straight from heaven and there are those who leave everything to God while doing nothing…

It is great that most Ghanaians are God fearing but without engaging in what will bring productivity ( which prayers can’t bring), our country will continue to struggle.

We must know when to leave God alone and take up the mantle…

According to PeaceFM;

Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper has bemoaned the country’s inability to improve on the economy despite its vast resources.

Speaking to the issue of the downward trend of the economy, Kwesi Pratt Jnr told Suhiyini Alhassan of Radio Gold that the decline in the economy can be based on two factors: low levels of productivity, and the lack of control of the country’s resources.

Low levels of productivity

During the time of Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s First President, the country produced lots of items which brought development into the country, according to Kwesi Pratt.

READERS’ MAIL: Now We All Know Being GAY Is Natural & Not Evil

being gay

As an African who is a homosexual, I get shun and constantly get treated like a filth, when in fact I was born GAY. All I have known is being attracted to other men and it is not any fault of mine.

If ordinary people are not insulting me or looking down on me, the Pastors will be cursing me for being GAY. If you think the Pastors are harsh for wishing hell fire on my head simply because of something I was born with, then you’ve not heard of the Governments passing laws to make sure I am thrown into jail for no offence.

Being GAY comes natural; it is not something anyone learnt or a pill that a person carries across to give to others to swallow, where you can say these people had a choice. We do not have a choice and what seem to be a choice for you is; I should deny to myself that I feel this way; deny that I am attracted to men and pretend to be what I am not.

If GAY is not natural or if people are not born GAY, how come everywhere you go in the world you will find a GAY person there? Did one person go around teaching all these people how to be GAY?

If I had a choice as an African who is GAY, I would have de-GAY myself because I go through hell each day for just being me.

If The Hit Series ‘SHUGA’ Season 4 Is To Be Shot In Ghana, Then We Need FRESH Faces!

mtv-shuga-2

I don’t know how many people have seen or heard about the hot MTV Base series “Shuga” which was first aired in November 2009 on MTV. The first season which featured fast rising Hollywood star Lupita N’yongo was received with much love and has been running since then, in several African countries.

The first and second seasons were shot and filmed in Kenya with Kenyan actors but featured some major Nigerian musicians including”P Square” and “Flavour”. The makers of this series decided not only to shoot season three in Nigeria but also settled for Nigerian actors.

At first many “Shuga” fans like myself were a little skeptical about the season’s success but after watching faithfully from episode to episode, those of us who had doubts were proven wrong.

Anyone who watched all the episodes of season three religiously would agree that it is one of the best drama series to be shot in Africa in recent times. They used young, fresh and never seen screen actors and they delivered! Except for a few known faces like our very own Chris Attoh and his on-screen wife Leonora Okine who we might have seen around for a while.
