Buk Bak Is Never Going To Be The Same Without Ronnie

BUK BAK

On the 21st day of November, 2013, death laid its icy hands on Ronnie Coaches, a member of the hiplife duo – Buk Bak. This came out as shocking news to many, especially to music enthusiasts who patronise the songs of the group.

Bright, also known in showbiz as Blinks Sparkles, the only member of the group who is alive at the moment has stated that Buk Bak will never be the same without Ronnie Coaches. He made this assertion on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review, hosted by Akwasi Aboagye.

According to him, Ronnie was more of a fatherly figure to him and other musicians, strengthening them always when they were down emotionally. He described his friend as somebody who was strong at heart, loving, and caring who always put the interest of others ahead of his.

Female Gospel Musicians In Ghana Are Becoming Too ‘WORLDLY’

Gifty Osei

Comparing the total personality-carriage of female gospel musicians to their counterpart female musicians in the secular world of music, it is writ large that, current female gospel musicians are becoming too “worldly.”

The music industry without definition from any school of thought has been divided into two sects of people. Those whose lyrics preach or mention God or Jesus Christ are described as Gospel artistes. On the other hand, those whose lyrics do not mention God or talk about Jesus Christ, are tagged as secular artistes/musicians or in some cases described as “worldly.”

However, if one will sincerely call a spade a spade, aside the lyrics in the songs of the supposed female Gospel musicians, nothing about most of them is Gospel or smacks of personalities whose focus is on religious missions.

Most practices or lifestyles by females in the secular world of music which the self-acclaiming female Gospel musicians describes as worldly, mundane or material sense gratification, are what the same female Gospel musicians practice or live by.

BG: Oscar Nominee Has Been Disqualified!

Alone Yet Alone

From BeyondGossip.Com

The Academy’s board of governors have voted to rescind the original song nomination for ‘Alone Yet Not Alone’, music by Bruce Broughton and lyric by Dennis Spiegel. And have said an additional nominee in the category will not be named.

The disqualification comes as a result of the discovery that Broughton, a former governor and current music branch executive committee member, had emailed members of the branch to make them aware of his submission during the nominations voting period.

“I’m devastated,” Broughton told Variety. “I indulged in the simplest, lamest, grass-roots campaign and it went against me when the song started getting attention. I got taken down by competition that had months of promotion and advertising behind them.”
