After months of endless preparation and much anticipation from TML’s online followers, The Method of Love is finally set to have its first ever screening on 7th February 2014, with the official webisode release on Valentine’s Day.

Using the hippest and most interesting parts of London as the shows setting, ‘The Method of Love’ is a cool and clever exploration of love and its many definitions.

The show focuses on five central characters headed by the lead; Chris Nduko, played by Charles (Chucky) Venn, who also played the popular character Ray” in Eastenders and has also featured in many critically acclaimed TV dramas and Hollywood movies such as The Dark Knight, Bourne Ultimatum and others.

Viewers get to see this group of friends lay bare emotions, face inner demons, reveal their passions and fears over ten twenty minute episodes. It exposes complex, yet relatable, real life scenarios from addiction to grief and seeks to push the boundaries of what is acceptable and justifiable in the quest for true love. This show is the answer to the many unanswered cries for something more in today’s dramas, on and off television.

According to law enforcement sources, actor-Philip Seymour Hoffman,46, had close to 50 bags of heroin inside his Manhattan apartment when he died and more than 20 used syringes.

Hoffman was found dead on Sunday on the bathroom floor with a needle sticking out of his arm…

It is obvious that men and women communicate differently, and they have unique needs. A woman may long to share her feelings openly and often. Many men, on the other hand, try to preserve peace by solving problems quickly and avoiding thorny issues.

By treating your mate with respect, you can bridge these differences and communicate with your husband or wife.A respectful person values others and seeks to understand their feelings. In Ghana, a person is taught from infancy to respect those who have more authority or experience than he or she has.

In marriage, however, the challenge is to show respect to someone with whom you are on more of an equal footing. One might listen patiently and speak respectfully to friends and even strangers. Yet, when it comes to his/her marriage, he/she is not considerate to his/her mate.

Disrespect creates tension in the home and leads to bitter conflict. How then can one communicate respectfully?

Many people like to talk more than they like to listen. Before you talk, listen. Why? (I choose to answer this question with another question) How would you understand what a person is really talking about if you do not listen to him/her? (Think seriously about it)

On the other hand, some men and women hesitate to express themselves and feel uncomfortable if their mate pressures them to talk about their feelings. If you and your mate need to talk about something potentially divisive, raise the matter when both of you are calm and relaxed.

Things have always been hard in Ghana but it is exceedingly hard and getting harder under President Mahama’s leadership—forcing people like Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams to spiritually “command” the falling cedi to “rise”.

Without any hope of things getting better, most Ghanaians are frustrated and are tired of complaining.

What is sad is that, the Government seems not to accept that the economy is heading for disaster—and seems not to have any hopeful plan of restoration.

Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom has taken to his facebook page to pour out his frustration;

I really felt sorry for a President John Dramani Mahama and Ghana when I heard two members of his administration and NDC political party on an Accra radio station this past Saturday.

I wondered, “…are we safe?” These two are senior members of the Mahama Administration gave us all ample reasons why we are where we are with a “see-saw” economy and a suffering people.

According to one of them, high rise buildings, mansions for a few, the Pokuase road among others are “good” reasons for the fiscal deficits Ghana is facing and the depreciation of the cedi. With “experts” like these in government, who needs reality?

University of Ghana Sued Over Campus Road Tolls

This will be an interesting case—considering the fact that the application made is elevating the status of the tolls to be collected to the status of tax…

If the Court agrees that the tolls being charged by the University of Ghana is a form of tax (forget the name it is being called), then the University would have violated the 1992 Constitution for enforcing a tax system without an Act of Parliament stipulating so.

Forget all the legal gibberish and interpretations being sought and ask the question; is University of Ghana mandated to ‘primarily’ educate or to collect tolls?

So many taxes and tolls being collected in Ghana and yet we do not know what the monies being collected are used for.

This comes across as another dubious way to extort money from students and other people, using the broken system route.

According to Daily Graphic;

Two students of the University of Ghana have sued the institution at the Supreme Court over the decision by authorities to charge road tolls.

The two who brought the action in their capacity as Ghanaians are praying the Supreme Court to stop the university from charging the said road tolls.

They are, accordingly, urging the highest court of the land to declare the action of the university as unconstitutional.

Just as Ghana’s Kumawood (local) movies enjoy massive patronage in Ghana, so do Nigeria’s local movies…

Kumawood movies – movies mostly produced in Kumasi and in Twi, are Ghana’s pride as far as our movie industry is concerned. The Kumawood movie industry is Ghana’s pride because their movies depicts our true Ghanaian values, traditions and culture; have original and intriguing storylines; produces about 80% of the movies in Ghana’s movie industry; and sells like pure water.

It is reported from movie shops across the ten regions of Ghana that the Kumawood movies which are called ‘local movies’ are able to sell as much as 50,000 copies or more per movie; once the movie is intriguing.

In Nigeria, their ‘local movie’ – movies produced with their indigenous languages, is the backbone of Nollywood. Nigerians don’t buy their English movies as much as their local movies. Every state produces its own local movies.

Example, Yoruba’s dominates in states such as Lagos, Ibadan, Ondo, Ogun, Kwara, Osun, and others, so they all patronize Yoruba movies. Same applies to other Northern states like Kaduna, Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, Maiduguri, etc. They all buy Hausa movies.

Sarkodie’s Legal Counsel Files for Defense in Court | Sarks Copyright Case

On Wednesday 20^th November, 2013, Flex newspaper, broke a story headlined, ‘Sarkodie sued GHC 90,000 over Sarks Logo.

In the said story, one Oboubi Jeremiah (aka OB J) alleged that he is the one who initiated the idea of starting clothing line with musician Sarkodie and had several meetings with the latter and his management to that effect.

Oboubi alleged that he provided the design, style, logo, art work and also suggested the name Sark to Sarkodie and his management team. Oboubi alleged that he went ahead to produce samples of Sark T-shirts and even provided freebies (T-shirts) to fans of Sarkodie during the latter’s Rapperholic concert at the Dome.

Before he could finalize memorandum of understanding with Sarkodie and his team, he read in the media that Sarkodie has launched a clothing line called Sark Collections. Riled Obuobi sought legal action by serving Sarkodie and his team a summon letter through his solicitors and legal advisers – Akufo-Addo, Prempeh & Co Chambers represented by Barrister Kwabena Boye Adjekumhehe.

The case was opened for first hearing but we gathered Sarkodie and his Defense Counsel did not show up in court.

Following up on the story, GhanaCelebrities.Com gathers that seating on the case was adjourned to 9^th January, 2014. On Thursday 9^th January, 2014, the case was opened again.
