Rihanna Says ‘I Was BANKRUPT Because of My Stupid Accountant’

Rihanna3

Do you know popular pop-singer Rihanna was ‘effectively bankrupt’ in 2009?  Well, for those who do not know, now you know.

Sometimes, it’s just unimaginable for wealthy people like Rihanna to go near the bankruptcy mark. But Rihanna talking about bankruptcy simply means, she had 11 million dollars by the beginning of 2009 and by the end of the year, she had only 2 million left—-to her that is close to bankruptcy.

What at all do celebrities like Rihanna use their money for?

According to the “What’s My Name” hit maker, her accountant was responsible for her going near bankrupt. She even called the accountant stupid.  She had already filed a lawsuit against the accountant and other accounting firms she used back in 2009.

Funny enough, Rihanna’s ex-accountants have fired back at the R&B singer’s lawsuit against them, claiming the millions of dollars RiRi says she lost was her own fault and they had squat to do with it.

According to TMZ.Com;

Rihanna says her accountant made so many boneheaded decisions that he blew her fortune and she was “effectively bankrupt” by the end of 2009.

The singer claims in new legal docs she had $11 MILLION in cash at the beginning of 2009.  Rihanna says the accountant was not on the ball and she was horrified to learn at the end of the year she had $2 million left. To make matters worse, her expenses doubled, which left her on a financial cliff.

‘Let’s Take A Break’ = Prelude To Moving On

A young black woman

Relationships can sometimes suffocate. When feelings start wearing off, boredom sets in or one begins to feel he/she needs a major overhaul. During that period is when some partners decide to take a step back to re-evaluate the relationship by spending some time apart. Spending time apart is not necessarily a bad thing, but alarm bells definitely starts ringing when the time spent apart gets unnecessarily longer than normal. It’s a step which makes or breaks a relationship.

‘Let’s take a break’ from a relationship of 4 months or less is one not to invest heart and energy into. Don’t keep your fingers crossed. It was a testing mic period. The person more or less is ‘trying’ to tell you ‘I didn’t see clearly, we’re done, so therefore, go hit up whoever you need to, you’re no longer my concern’ – That kind of break. If you’re dealing with a ‘comedian’, he/she will initiate a ‘let’s be apart to see if we want this relationship to work out’. For this kind of short-term relationships, I don’t think one need to even waste their time dreaming up a way to do a runner, just go.

I personally think taking a little break (a week or two maximum) can be seen as a rejuvenation of the relationship, so partners return to each other stronger and healthier. It actually help clear the confusions and frustrations internally (if any), and help both of you focus on your own faults and desires in the relationship. At their best, breaks allow couples to realize how special what they have really is, but more often than not, couples use them to avoid problems that needs solving or they are fed up solving the same problems over and over again. Whatever issues couples have won’t be solved by being apart for months on end. If you can’t address or work through your issues – move on!!

English Actress-Amanobea Doodo Throws Insults at Akan Movies

Actress Amanobea Doodo
Actress Amanobea Doodo

Veteran Ghanaian actress, Amanobea Doodo, who survived a stroke, has come out to say that Akan movies, popularly known as Kumawood movies, don’t teach moral lessons.

Last year, English actor, Ekow Smith Asante, made disparaging remarks at the film producers and films produced in Kumasi and incurred their wrath. Definitely, Ekow did bite more than he could chew when he said the target market for those ‘inferior’ movies are people in Asankragua, Sefwi Wiaso, ‘Yaw Wiaso’ and other places “who do not know jack about lighting, sound, good acting and other things and they are not ready to know.”

Another English actor, Amanobea was reported by Graphic showbiz this week to have survived a deadly stroke which numbed half of her body, keeping her in bed all this while—-the reason why she has not been seen in movies lately.

Asked whether she would feature in any Akan speaking movie should she be offered a good price, she explained that she would only do so if the storyline is good and she is assured that editing will also be on point.

She continued, “I usually don’t look at the money first before acting. I put myself in the character I play and make sure I execute it well to the understanding of my fans and Ghanaians as a whole.

“It is unfortunate I am sounding this critical but Akan movies can only be sold here in this country and nowhere else. Many of them don’t teach any moral lesson but rather end up confusing patrons,” she said.

Kwaw Kese & Manager Still Members of MUSIGA After Betraying the Union

Kwaw-Kese
Kwaw Kese

Shockingly, the manager of Hiplife musician, Kwaw Kesse and of Mad Time Entertainment, Fennec Okyere, after betraying the musicians union of Ghana, MUSIGA, is still a member of the union.

MUSIGA launched its maiden event, Ghana Music Week, in Sept, 2012. The event, which promised to be an annual one, spanned 3rd March to 10th March, 2013. News broke out that the name Ghana Music Week had been registered by a member of MUSIGA. Who could it be?

That person was the manager of Kwaw Kesse, Fennec Okyere. The story created a hubbub in our art industry last year but was not properly resolved. This year, MUSIGA is again going to organize the same music week but with the name GMW celebration.

After almost a year of betraying MUSIGA, Fennec Okyere has come out to threaten MUSIGA. “They can’t use GMW because GMW is just the initials of Ghana, Music, and Week, which I still own the franchise so I will not allow them.” Fennec revealed on Neat 100.9 fm on Tuesday 11th Feb, 2014.

Having committed an act which can clearly be termed as conflict of interest, GhanaCelebrities.Com wanted to know if Fennec Okyere and Kwaw Kesse and still members of MUSIGA and if they are, why?
