Last night, Kenyan actress-Lupita Nyong’o made several black people proud and probably ended a huge movement of misconception that you need to be light skinned to make it to the top, especially in Hollywood and other Entertainment industries across the world.
Following Lupita Nyong’o’s ‘Best Supporting actress’ win at the Academy Award for her outstanding performance in Steve McQueen’s “12 Years a Slave”, Ghanaian comedian-A Plus decided to revisit a spoof story which said Yvonne Nelson has stated she was not bleaching—but was merely using coco butter.

A plus never mentioned anyone’s name. GC why are you so against Yvonne? Am sure without Yvonne this site would have been dead by now. Easy on the girl, whether she’s bleaching or not is none of our business we should allow her to do whatever that suits her skin.

Okay, honestly tho, this cocoa butter/ skin bleaching thn is getting old. From the look of things when u compare most Ghanaian celebs past with their present; u would know the actual difference. IDT they bleach, although some do..But I think is how they’ve improved, plus traveling and spending money.
