Few weeks ago, it was reported that to enable a proper divorce  settlement between Henrietta Ama Mensah and Ghanaian footballer-John Mensah, the latter has been forced to put his Trassaco Valley house on sale—from which the proceeds will be equally shared.

With rumours flying around that Henrietta has received some sort of payment from the footballer for herself and the children since the divorce, Henrietta has come out to say; she has not received a penny from his former husband yet.

She has also confirmed the sale of their posh Trassaco Valley house, saying, she has moved out of the house with the children to a rented apartment at Adjiriganor in Accra to enable the sale of the property…

Late last year, John Mensah’s now divorced wife- Henrietta filed for divorce to end their 10 years marriage, citing infidelity alongside John Mensah having neglected his fatherly responsibilities by leaving the total upkeep of their children to her alone as reasons

According to GhanaSportsonline;

Henrietta Ama Mensah, the distressed former wife of Ghanaian soccer star, John Mensah, has stated categorically that she had not as yet received any financial benefits from the player since their divorce settlement took place a few weeks ago.

Henrietta, who was reacting publications that created the impression that she had, perhaps, received some money and property from the former Black Stars skipper, which was not the case.

‘The whole issue is as if I have received some money from John which is not the case. The truth of the matter is that I have not received any money for myself nor the children since the settlement,’ she stressed.

The former actress, however, confirmed that she and her children had moved to a new rented apartment at Adjiriganor in Accra to allow for the sale of their Trassaco Valley house on the orders of an Accra High Court.

She also explained that the court rather agreed on a percentage share of 30 per cent for her and 70 per cent for John Mensah from the proceeds of the various properties which had been listed for sale. They included houses, plots of land, cars and a factory.

Henrietta filed a divorce suit in an Accra High Court last October, accusing her husband of infidelity and neglect of his family commitments, a charge the powerful defender later denied vehemently.
