LOOK! It’s Me. Believe Me, Asamoah Gyan…

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vxgD3xEeJY

Have you seen the above Melcom television advert starring the soccer maestro, Asamoah Gyan together with the little girl? There’s something remarkable we can learn from that piece.

You’ll realize that the girl doesn’t recognize Asamoah Gyan and as well fails to believe who he claims to be, until other people take a big opportunity away from her. Interestingly, Baby Jet had apparently given the girl every reason to consider him as that popular celebrity. He had performed his popular dance and as well did a ball juggle. Yet the girl remained in her state of unbelief, indifference, insensitivity and skepticism.

In the end, she is left with a big disappointment on her sad face. By the time she realizes it is indeed Asamoah Gyan, she’s driven away and all is lost.

Who knows? She would have found herself in the arms of that international superstar, been a lucky beneficiary of a fully-sponsored shopping and would also have taken all the media attention that day.

But the little girl was as blind and unresponsive as you and I. More often than not, we do not appreciate what we have until we lose it to others. All the goodies are around us, within our reach; yet we fail to recognize and believe.

Every now and then, we tend to look so long at the closed door that we don’t see that one which has been opened for us. It is true that we don’t know what have gotten till we lose it, but it’s also true that we don’t know what we’ve been missing until it arrives.

Collins Arhin
Collins Arhin

Sometimes you may be call a FOOL for being honest, especially when money is involved but that did not ‘corrupt’ the mind of a desperate man who returned GH₵2,500 he found in a taxi to its owner…

In fact, his honesty and selfless action has fetched him a house and 4 jobs. The once unemployed man has a new worry now, which among the 4 jobs he should settle for…

It is refreshing to know that we still have some honest people among us–despite the economic hardship!

According to Daily Graphic;

The jobless young man who badly needed GH₵800 to pay rent or face ejection but was honest enough to return a cash of GH₵2,500 abandoned in a taxi to its owner, is to become a home owner.

Collins Arhin, 35, is to own a three-bedroom self-contained house on the plot of land gifted him by estates company, Real Plan Estates, and has made the initial deposit for construction works to start.

The deposit of GH₵5,000 came from the many cash gifts that flowed his way following his courageous and kind act which saw his best friends write him off as a fool destined to live as a wretch.

Agya Koo Under Attack | His Sense of PR is ‘Effectively’ Rubbish

Agya Koo
Agya Koo

Over the past few years, Alex Kofi Adu, prevalently known as Agya Koo, has been in the news for various reasons. If it’s not this, then it is that…

In 2002, he was dragged to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana police Service by his wife, Victoria Owusuaa Adomako, for neglecting his responsibilities as a father, husband, and also having extra-marital affair with another woman. In response to this, Agya Koo was almost on every radio station in the country trying to explain matters to the public.

Next was the case with his shopkeeper. It was reported that, Agya Koo had taken Cecilia Tandoh (Shopkeeper) to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Circuit Court for allegedly stealing his GHS 60,000. According to Cecilia, Agya Koo fabricated the story because she refused to have sex with him. This also became news which Agya Koo defended himself on several platforms.

Do you remember the visa fraud case? That was in the early 2013. A warrant was issued by the Accra Circuit Court for the arrest of Agya Koo for defrauding an individual an amount of GHS 3,800 in order to acquire him a visa to travel to the United States of America. It was reported that although the warrant was placed at all exit and entry points in the country to prevent him from travelling out of the country, Agya Koo managed to ‘beat’ immigration officials at the Kotoka Internal Airport and travelled to Abu Dhabi. When contacted, Agya Koo denied the allegation levelled against him.

But when he touched down, he was arrested and locked up…

Another issue that became news all over the airwaves was Agya Koo’s beef with colleague actor, Kwaku Manu. The two had misunderstandings between them which resulted in them not talking to each other. These two were all over radio stations defending their sides of the story.

Currently, Agya Koo claims Kumawood producers have teamed up against him in order to end his acting career. This, according to him, might force him to quit acting and consider evangelism or focus on his musical career. I cannot count the number of times Agya Koo has been on radio stations to address this particular issue.

The long and short of this analysis is not about him defending himself on media platforms, but the approaches he use.
