Now I understand why my boyfriend always fights me when he is hungry and the moment he is full, he will run to watch football or some damn kung-fu movie as if I do not exist. I only get attention (bad one) when he is hungry…
According to a new study, hungry people are more likely to lose their temper with their husband or wife. And that when when we haven’t eaten enough, our brain lacks the energy needed to exercise self-control, and so we are more likely to lash out.

Hervé Chigioni and his graphic designer Gilles Frappier have based the poster design for the 67th Festival de Cannes on a photogram taken from Federico Fellini’s 8½, which was presented in the Official Selection in 1963.
In Marcello Mastroianni and Federico Fellini, we celebrate a cinema that is free and open to the world, acknowledging once again the artistic importance of Italian and European cinema through one of its most stellar figures.
“The way he looks at us above his black glasses draws us right in to a promise of global cinematographic happiness,” explains the poster’s designer. “The happiness of experiencing the Festival de Cannes together.”
Last year, it was the greatest concert of the year —and so was it the year before. This year, it is back again with our best Ghanaian and Nigerian musicians who are more than ready to thrill music lovers with great performances.
In my review of Ghana Meets Naija last year, though I struggled to find appropriate words to describe the magnitude of professionalism and fun the concert brought Ghanaian and Nigerian music lovers, I stated that;
“I think I am not far from right if I call ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ the highest, the hippest and probably the hoppest concert on the Ghanaian event calendar. It has rejuvenated that special thing about African music—-hitting you hard with no pain.
Without any doubt, the organizers have successful redefined how music and performance should be delivered at African concerts—making it more fun, secured, comfortable and extensively interactive with incredible social media participation.
Quick and ahead of their competitors, they’ve realized the power and meaning of social media interactions.”
At Empire Entertainment’s offices in Accra yesterday, a Press briefing was held to bring the media on board to take this year’s event to a different level.
This year’s edition of Ghana Meets Naija will be held at Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday 24th May 2014 and as usual, it is only the greatest that will mount the stage. Sarkodie will lead a host of Ghanaian musicians including, Guru, Castro and Lilwin to face Davido, Kcee and Wizboyy of ‘Wizolingo’ fame from Nigerian.
As expected of every great competition, both countries will bring in other talented musicians to surprise music lovers and to tilt the winning rod to their side. To me, Nigeria was the winner last year and I can’t wait to see what will happen this year…
