After winning the 2014 VGMA Artiste of the Year, the self acclaimed dancehall King in Ghana-Shatta Wale has dropped a track to thank Charter House—and also tell them about themselves…

On the track, Shatta Wale talks about the fact he wouldn’t allow Charter House to use him like they do to other artistes—saying, common 70,000GHS he demanded for performance could not be met.

He added that, even though he told Charter House he did not want their award, they still went ahead to give him the much talked about Artiste of the Year Award.

  1. You’re talented. Slow down brov. There’s one thing that kills talent; ‘PRIDE’. Your manager shouldn’t have allowed you do this the second time. If you think you’re that big and therefore, do not need a local award, get nominated on MTVMama, MOBO, BET. Slow down, it takes a while to be there.

How can you charge 70K? How much is Sarkodie paid? That dude promote Ghanaian music more than you do. He’s bigger. You’re not even known outside Ghana apart from Ghanians in diaspora. We don’t know you in Nigeria, Sarkodie is being heard over there. Chil

  2. Great comment @Kay
And also I think, this was a shady movement he wanted to take. He might have wanted to stood CharterHouse up for them to kiss his behind b4 even attending the award show which indeed Obour and co did, cs the way they were jubilating on stage when he was announced as the artist of the year was absurd cs as MUSIGA prez ain’t u supposed to remain neutral.
