Interestingly, Sandran Akobiah also had some few words for us, supporting Yvonne Okoro’s rant. In fact, she said she has a pile of disgusting words she would love to throw at us but she fears she would be disbarred as a lawyer—if she does so.

If the below photo has not been able to cause your disbarment as a lawyer, then no amount of words you can put together for us can cause that-Miss Sandra Ankobiah. What can be more inappropriate for a lawyer to say that will be worse than putting such a boobie photo online?

I didn’t want to post on what Yvonne Okoro had to say in relation to my recent article titled “Is Yvonne Okoro Almost BROKE? | When The Cheques Stop Coming, You Will Be Forced to REPEAT the Same Dress…” because I believe she still has that reading and comprehension issues we spotted two years ago.

However, after over 16 people sent me links to Yvonne Okoro’s instagram rant and insults in an attempt to defend her dress repeat ‘celebrity offense’, I’ve decided to publish what she has been saying and probably give her a little lesson into the real celebrity lifestyle.

From my article, I did not state anywhere that it is against morality or any sort of legality for a person or a celebrity to repeat a dress. In fact it happens all the time with celebrities in the West and the reason why we know it happens is because it makes the news.

And you want to know why it makes the news? Because it is one of the conventional celebrity offenses which real celebrities are expected to try to avoid. It gets reported because it is unusual (not what is expected of a real celebrity) and it has become a hovering celebrity fashion crime.

Think about the number of celebrities in the world and put together the number of times any of them repeat an outfit…It doesn’t happen a lot because it is a damn celebrity offense and the real ‘ballers’ do everything to avoid it.

So personally, I don’t know what Yvonne Okoro is ranting about. Is she upset about the fact that she repeated a dress and I wrote about it just as the MailOnline wrote about Kate Middleton repeating a dress or RadarOnline wrote about Kim Kardashian doing the same?

The ‘Ewes Have Bad Body Odour’, the ‘Ashantis Are Thieves’ the ‘Akwapims Are Fools’ & the ‘Fantis Are Lazy’ | Tribalism in 21st Century Ghana

Ghana

No one can underestimate the importance of a tribe and its significant position in creating a true sense of belonging. Divisions in general kept us alive some centuries ago, fighting together and marrying our own—opening our arms for those we identified as our blood and protecting ourselves from those who were not part of us—the enemies.

It was very important to belong to a tribe and to have clansmen who will pull out the sword to cut throats so you and your family will live on. Without such organised groups of people living together and serving as watchdogs over one another, people from far away lands would have probably conquered and taken away lands and put certain men and women into slavery.

Even though there were days when tribes had important role to play in our survival, such divisions have always created tension between people. The tension didn’t matter much those days since you didn’t really have to deal with other people that often—or travel out of your land to meet others.

Today, we are not grouped by tribes but by vision and a search for a better life for ourselves—and offspring. Increasingly, people from different tribes have had to abandon their own people or land and travel miles away to foreign lands to settle. And those who even stayed behind on tribal lands had no option than to welcome alien tribes who found their place of settlement their best option.

Things have changed, technology and innovation have brought us far closer than ever. We are able to trade, communicate, share ideas and even fall in love with people thousands of miles away. The fight for survival has ended, giving way to what I call “the fight for our betterment” —making the benefits of holding onto tribes insignificant.

2014 FIFA WORLD CUP: Injury Boost for Portugal As Cristiano Ronaldo Returns to Training | Kwaku Bonsam What NEXT?

Fifa-World-Cup-Brazil-20141

Ghana’s world cup Group G opponents Portugal received a timely boost to their preparations with the announcement that Cristiano Ronaldo and Raul Meireles are set to join the team in training having recovered from separate knocks.

The issue of the availability or otherwise of Ronaldo has resonated around the world since his injury came to light, but the Portuguese Football Association has put the issue to bed with a statement indicating his return to training.

This news follows on the heels of claims by Ghanaian witch doctor Kwaku Bonsam that he orchestrated Ronaldo’s injury to keep him from playing against Ghana. It now seems like the obvious attempt for publicity and fame might have been made by the Ghanaian witch doctor a little too soon.

Either way, Ghana’s coach Kwesi Appiah must conduct Ghana’s preparations with the glaring threat of this season’s UEFA Champion’s league top scorer in mind.

Remaining in the Black Stars camp, coach-Kwesi Appiah has announced that his lack of depth in defence would be covered by the presence of versatile midfielders like Michael Essien and Kwadwo Asamoah.

The injury to Jerry Akaminko and exclusion of left back Jeffrey Schlupp means the Ghanaian squad is a little thin at the back, but in defiant tones Kwesi Appiah told the press at the team’s base in Miami that he had other options.

I Stand Accused…The Strengths & Weakness of Our Ghanaian Movie Stars | Let’s Get Talking!

Jackie Appiah (4)

In the last few years and under different sheets of the various Awards organised in and out of Africa, we’ve heard ‘Best Actor’, ‘Best Actress’, ‘Best Supporting Actor/Actress’, ‘Discovery of the Year’ and several other phrases decorated with gold, having been attributed to our Ghanaian movie stars.

We’ve accepted their awards as a clear indication of excellence and their strengths—though we all have some doubt in relation to the credibility of some of these awards. But we’ve refused to point out the weakness of most of these stars, even our so called favourite actors and actresses.

I recently had a long conversation with a Ghanaian actress and we ended up by the pool of reality, telling her that, everyone has a weak spot—no matter how good that person may seems to be. Therefore, she has to work on those weak spots of hers if she indeed wants to take her career to the next level.

And interestingly, she did not even know her own weakness—which made me wonder; how can these people improve and become better if they do not even know what needs work and where they should focus their attention for improvement…

On one hand, it seems we’ve failed these actors and actresses for failing to point out to them their weakness just as we award them for their excellence. On the other hand, we all know the attitude of Ghanaians to criticism—they will probably call that hating, just as we usually do when being told about our dark side.

Against the above background, I want us to look at the on-screen weakness of our Ghanaian actors and actress-both Kumawood and Ghollywood, point out to them where they really have to improve should they want that ‘out of the box’ success they so much desire—as movie enthusiasts, critics and ordinary viewers.

Using the comment box below, mention the name of an actor or actress follow by where the person’s attention must be dedicated to, in order to improve his or her career. And if the person is beyond repairs such that she/he has to totally quit acting, do not be afraid to be truthful to the person and yourself by letting it out…

We all see different things when we watch a movie so we all should have something to say. Do not be worried about what someone has already said, including what I am going to say. Just say what you’ve witnessed—FREELY!

I will start with Joselyn Dumas, John Dumelo, Jackie Appiah and Juliet Ibrahim—dealing with the Js.

Joselyn Canfor Dumas

It is obvious Joselyn Dumas has a good level of interest in her acting career, thought at first she came across as gearing more of her energy towards TV. Joselyn has no problem with displaying emotions on-screen, when a role demands so.

For me, Joselyn Dumas has to let go everything when acting and by this, I mean she seems very conscious of her person in the movies I’ve seen her. You can easily spot that, she has some vested personal interested in how she is appearing on screen which sometimes makes it too obvious that she is acting up.

I wouldn’t want to say she is shy but if the above fails to connect with your understanding, think along the lines of “being shy or uncomfortable”—-FIDGETY sounds like that better word I am looking for.

Juliet Ibrahim

We all saw where Juliet Ibrahim started from…Her ‘Crime to Christ’ era was nothing close to good but over the years, she has really improved—-with her on-screen gestures or attitudes being her strength to me.

With dedication and perseverance, Juliet has really done great for herself as an actress. She has more of a ‘success story’ than all these actors and actresses out there—I think.

When it comes to a key area that needs urgent attention, I will point her to the region of dialogue. The way she delivers her lines must be given the needed attention. As an actress, she is able to immerse herself into her roles, intending to make things seem as close to reality as possible. But her speech and the way she throws out her lines always give her out.
