Last week, I got the shock of my life when I realized my girlfriend with whom I stay with at Portsmouth-UK has been lying to me all this while.
We’ve been together for 1 year now and she got pregnant about 2 months ago. We all agreed that abortion was our best option since she has just started a nursing degree and I am also currently out of work after I was made redundant in December.
When we booked an appointment to see a doctor for the procedure, she insisted she goes alone and did not want me to come with her. On the day of the actual procedure, she was asked to bring someone so I went with her.
Two weeks about the abortion procedure while she had gone to school, a letter came from the first doctor she went to see and I didn’t even know what it was until I opened it. We open one another’s letter as we leave together. Whoever is at home when the post comes does the opening.
In the letter, the health centre had written to telling her to come for a contraceptive they talked about as the number of procedures she has had is far too much, capable of affecting her having babies in the future. And that they will not go ahead of another procedure in the future except after extensive consideration, therefore, her best option is to go for a contraceptive from her GP.
I started shaking after reading the letter because my girlfriend told me this was her first and last abortion.
When she came from school, I confronted her and she insisted it was her first until I showed her the letter for her to read. Then, she started crying. She told me when she went to the doctors, the records counted 6 abortions and the doctor was worried so did not want to even go ahead and put her up for the procedure. She was even given a counselling as to if she indeed wanted to go ahead considering the risk.
Why she failed to tell me all these before, only God knows.
I didn’t have anything I could say so I told her it is alright. But to frank, I can’t take it. Last week, she started talking about marriage and this is making me scary.
What if she can’t have a baby, why 6 abortions at the age of 28?
I am confused, what should I do? Should I tell her what is eating me up and end the relationship or should I just accept things?

Well, it’s up to you to part ways, it will bring total peace to the woman. She has reproductive health rights which includes whether or not she wants to have a baby. However, since you are the good guy who does not want to marry a woman with many abortions, you shouldn’t have suggested it anyway so you are no different from the other men she has encountered.
My parents have been happily MARRIED over 40 years in the US and my dad respects my mom too much to invade her privacy by opening her mails.
Personally, I don’t think she should marry you because you can’t even hold a damn job, but you have the audacity to judge character. I hope she does not feel the NEED to be married at the age of 28. You not only redundant to your former employer but also in this relationship.

I hate when men act like they are saints and women are the problem. Yes He will end things because six men just like him suggested an abortion before him. He will want to be the 1st to suggest an abortion but can’t accept to be the seventh. Bloody hypocrite. And FYI, one messy abortion can put a woman at risk of inability to conceive just as much as 6.

did then I don’t think they is anything wrong with her telling you how many
abortions she had, did you tell her how many women had one for you or how many
women you slept with? It might be something she want to forget or be embarrassed

relationship goes through something and you respond to it that makes you a real

i am not encouraging abortion however the fact that a woman has gone thru many abortions doesn’t mean they can’t have children. a woman may choose to remain a virgin until she gets married and yet she may not be able to have kids. how do you know the next woman is fertile.
