Nadia Buari REJECTS $75,000 Endorsement Deal?

According to an article we received from Nadia Buari’s camp (calling themselves team Nadia Buari), the 2014 African Achievers Awards actress of the year has allegedly turned down an endorsement deal worth $75,000 from French cosmetic company Avant Claire Grande.

PR’ for the actress is reported to have said the endorsement contract was a bid for Avant Claire to lace into the African market with Nadia Buari as their brand ambassador because she appealed to their target market better than any other African celebrity based on their research.

The actress hence called off the signing at a board meeting in Paris after discovering the Claire product contained compounds of hydroquinone (a chemical used for skin whitening and bleaching).

When asked of reasons for her actions she educated the press of the negative effects skin bleaching adding that she (Nadia Buari) wasn’t going to give up her ethics for any amount of money.

Our research confirms Avant Claire Grande is one of the leading skin care brands in Europe that manufactures a wide range of beauty enhancement products for women…

Hmmm, remember this is not coming from us, but from Nadia Buari’s people…Why is it news if she has rejected it?

  1. Chris, are you a hypocrite? Why shouldn’t it be a news? You should congratulate this girl. She did well. If she had accepted, you will be the first to come here and rain insults on her for promoting skin bleaching and being broke. Oh, if it was to be Jackie I’m sure she would have made you proud. What will people do to please you?

  2. I don’t understand why she called off the deal. What was the % of hydroquinone in the product? As a beauty therapist, I know for a fact that, a product containing 2% of hydroquinone can not bleach the skin nor change its colour. So I think she needs to consult professional beauty therapist to give her an insight before rejecting such deals.

  3. I commend Nadia for a job well done. This is a great example worth emulating. By the way, I am tired of the hypocrisy of Chris and his team. If this happens to be Jackie, Chris would have been here singing her praises. But because it is Nadia it’s no news? These attitude of speak no evil about Jackie but put others down is getting boring.
